动物园分为五块,voyage to australia and the islands、african forest、shores、asia quest、north america。
Very reasonably priced for a major zoo -- what a change from the San Diego and Bronx Zoos which are beautiful, but you break the bank to go there. Animals are well cared-for and conservation education is a top priority. Very easy to navigate. We went on a rainy day so there were no crowds; can imagine on a beautiful summer day it would be quite crowded but it's very nicely laid out. Aquarium is small but they have manatees -- basically that is their only attraction in the aquarium. Loved the reptile house and Australia exhibit.
If in the Columbus area, you need to plan a day at the zoo. It is locates on Rt.33 or Riverside Dr. There is a parking fee unless you are a member. Admission is reasonable for what you get. They are in a continuous improvement mode with some of the finest exhibits of any zoo. The zoo has a large number of animals in natural habitat exhibits. There is a beautiful aquarium where you can sit, cool down and enjoy the tranquil peace. There is too much to list, but a visit to the polar bear exhibit is a must. A relaxing train ride gives you an overview of things to see. ENJOY
We had such a good time at this zoo. It had great animals and attractions. My family really enjoyed it!
I have been to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium 2 times so far, and absolutely love this zoo. It is clean, huge, has a great variety of animals and sea life, and I'm still hoping to run into Jack Hanna when we go there. I like zoos in general, and this one is definitely one of the best I have visited.
Columbus zoo is a wonderful place to visit. The African exhibit is outstanding as you look over the acres of grasslands and watch the animals roam freely. Then they feed the giraffes and they come right up to the overlook balcony. The polar bear exhibit is also wonderful because a tunnel allows visitors to view the bears swimming underwater. All the exhibits are nicely done. They also have shows and other small venues to enjoy. The park is large and requires a full day or maybe more to see and experience it all. Beautifully kept grounds make it a great place to walk.
the Columbus zoo has always been a favorite of mine since i was a small child. I took my granddaughter there last summer and was again amazed at the growth and exhibits that were there. Feeding the giraffes was so much fun and to have hands on encounters with other animals was the best way to spend the day. Never a dull moment never a disappointment. This is one economical and family friendly attraction that is a must see in Columbus.
The Columbus zoo lights area amazing! Being able to walk around at night and look at animals under the lights is like no other. it's a psychedelic zoo trip! haha fun for all ages.. AND most importantly; very reasonably priced....also not far from downtown.
We like to go just to have a nice walk.this time of year sometimes the animals aren't out,but it's always a nice place to get out for a walk.
The first thing you will notice about the park is that there is lots to see! The park is split up into different zones (North America, Aquarium, Asian Quest, etc...) that should keep you busy for a while.Tip:I would wait until the weather warms up to visit the zoo. In the winter time when we just visited, a lot of the park was closed and the animals were inside (to be expected.) The park does compensate with a reduced admission price, but just something to be aware of!
Got to see Jungle Jack Hannah himself! That was pretty cool. Even got an autograph! :) This zoo is a lot of fun. I love the brown bears!
