Great experience for the kids. Very reasonable pricing and very educational.Captain Tim and Zach are fabulous, we loved it!!
Lots of fun and Capt Tim and Bradley are great! Keeps it entertaining with a live shark and eel in the tank too!
It was an awesome experience and will do it again next year! Capt Tim and Bradley were great people to be with!It was all informative for me! Thanks again!
This experience was great!! Capt. Tim and Zach did a wonderful job on the "behind the scenes" tour. It was very informative (small children may get a little restless if there is a large group). Bring your good camera and take advantage of all the great photo ops! Remember: take jewelry off, no personal snorkeling gear is allowed, and swimmers WILL be required to rinse off completely before going into the tank. If you go on a Sunday, the buffet is quite expensive. You can eat out on the deck, though.
Really enjoyed the entire tour. Thought it was just the aquarium swim, but was a complete tour of the filtration systems, tanks, and everything that goes on to run an aquarium that size. Lot of variety of fish. We had Captain Tim and Grace as our guides and they did a fantastic job. Would recommend.
Went swimming with the fishes this weekend and had Chrissy and Capt. Tim as our instructors and they were both great and very helpful and the swim was awesome.
Captn Tim and Zack provided an axing behind the scenes your with great info, very engaging with our kids and we never felt rushed. We would definitely do this again.
My husband and I took my 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son. We all enjoyed our tour and swim!! Tim and Bradley were awesome!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k1d6pdzngMMy family had a wonderful time yesterday at the St. Pete Outpost with Capt. Tim and Zach leading our tour. We live on Anna Maria Island and are big fans and met Mr. Harvey in Grand Cayman once.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the Rumfish restaurant and my daughters LOVED their swim with the fishes. Zach and Captain Tim were outstanding - made it relevant and interesting for kids and adults.
The 33,500 gallon aquarium in RumFish Grill is spectacular! And you can see it from the INSIDE when you Swim with the Fishes. It's really more like floating than swimming. There's not much room to move around. But it's fun being in there looking down at the fish and out at the diners. The adventure starts with an inside tour with a guide - ours was Captain Tim, knowledgeable & funny - who explains how the aquariums were built, what kinds of fish are in them, etc. NOTE: There are two smaller aquariums. Be sure you see them. Then you go outside and meet with a marine specialist - ours was Angela, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, obviously loves her work - who explains how they make their own salt water then shows you the behind the scenes filtration, quarantine tank, etc. All along they emphasize conservation of the seas. Then you get dressed for the swim. They provide a flotation vest, mask, snorkel and booties, even towels for drying off when you're done. I recommend a t-shirt of some kind as well. The water is a bit chilly at 77 degrees or so. It's a 10-minute swim. Long enough to get a good look at everything. The fish come right up to you. Pretty cool!We really enjoyed it! If you are a diver or you regularly snorkel, this might be not be the thing for you other than the novelty of it. Apparently kids love it.
I havent actualy eaten in this place yet but went to the big guy harvey store inside the restaurant.there is a massive aquarium inside that covers one wall and you can actualy swim in it by appointment.we havent time to do the restaurant this year but will definitely be there next year
We had a great time. The staff is great, informative, and very friendly. The fish tank is beautiful and well kept. The experience begins with a tour of the facility and how everything operates. Then you can enter the aquarium and snorkel for about 10 minutes. Do not expect to go there and experience the snorkel adventure of your life. It's just cool to hang out in the tank, see all the fish come so close to you, and have the people in the restaurant watching the snorkelers. It was something fun and different to do.
They take you around and give you a full tour and explanation of the whole facility, including the process of making the water in the tank. The water was crystal clear and the fish come right up to you. Very friendly staff and beautiful fish tank. Would definitely go back.
I really like the fish tank ad the swimming in the big fish tank and saw all the fishes too. I like the fish swimming was very fun and quick swim with fish tank?
