This place is the smallest hole in the wall with locals and local musicians in the evenings. Sit where you want and the waitress will get to you eventually, so do not be in a hurry. The wings are worth the wait! After sunset, we walk over there for some wings to go or a drink. Yes, you can order and pick up. We have tried every flavor, all are very good. Why 3 stars, because the bathroom is filthy always and just needs a real good cleaning.
This just-off-the-main-drag bar seems to be a locals hangout. I serves big meaty wings and beer. This place has the oddest seating I have ever seen. The booths have what resembles an double-wide Adirondack chair on each side, so you can either lean way back or perch on the edge to eat. Your feet don't touch the ground, which might be good, considering the cleanliness of the floor, so you feel like a little kid drinking beer. It's a fun experience though, certainly unusual.
This place is really a hole in the wall. You walk in and seat yourself, we sat on the porch. The bartender was great and she was handling everyone. Cheap seafood and good beer. Oh and wings too, we didn't get those but apparently they are famous! Definitely would go back the next time we come to vacation in Tampa
Total dive bar. Dark, odd people, friendly bartenders... This is what the drunken clam is about. Cheap drinks. VERY heavy pour, so make sure you order the good liquor. I did not eat them, but I've heard that the wings are awesome!!!
We always make sure to hit up the drunken clam when visiting St. Pete beach. It is awesome little hole in the wall bar that makes you feel right at home. We always have excellent service and their staff are so down to earth and friendly. They have great deals on wings and they are delicious! We will definitely be back on out next visit.
I was recently part of a bachelorette party that was staying in St. Pete Beach. We didn't really have any specific plans on where to go but we ended up in here the first night we were there just because we were wandering around and it was in walking distance from our hotel. Ended up having a great time and going back the second night. The staff is really fun and welcoming and the drinks are very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this as a fun and non-pretentious alternative to many of the tourist trap bars in St. Pete Beach.
Looks like a hole in the wall... which it seemed to be a locals hangout but the people were very nice and welcoming! Great Little Place to stop for a Beer.. Not on the beach
We walked gulf blvd from the Sirata. Found this little place and decided to try it. So glad we did! The waitresses were very friendly and kept us satisfied thru the whole meal with full drinks and good conversation. We had grilled shrimp, fried shrimp and burgers. They were all tasty and we were given a lot of food for the money. We will definitely be going back soon.
Unpretentious. Boisterous. Brash. This ain't no fern bar - this is a real, honest to goodness beach denizen hangout. Lots of TV's, all tuned to sports. Loud local bands after sundown. Hey, there's even a PINBALL machine! Bottom line - fabulous bartenders, awesome food, and plenty of fun. Tip - the hot wings are the best on the beach.
Real local place one block from Gulf. Steamed shrimp, wings and burgers very good. Couldn't believe how nice and comfortable place was. Must stop in St. Pete Beach.
