Spices is a great place to take the family and have some fun you can pick raspberries, apples, pears, pumpkins and there are lots of stuff for the kids to do. They have a nice country store and if I recall correctly a wine tasting room.

Great place to visit. Best donuts on the planet...especially fresh and warm.... Crowded on the weekends....try to visit during the week.

They have a small winery there with some very wines. The Soft Red is great. The new one--"Honey White" should be labeled as a dessert wine as it is very sweet. If you don't like sweet wine, don't get it.

We booked a private party for wine tasting there this last October. It was very reasonable and it was fun to have the place to ourselves. Ben was our Semolina and he did a great job and made it a lot of fun for us all. You get to try all the wines and hard ciders that they have and they serve cheese, crackers, sausage and fruit. The hardest part of all is smelling all those delicious cider mill doughnuts while you are there tasting. I would recommend trying it to find out what your favorites are.

We enjoyed our visit to Spicers Orchards. We walked through the market & bought apples. We did not do any of the activities, like the free hay ride & free corn maze, because the temp was only 33 & the wind was blowing bad. It made for a cold trip. Would like to go back on a nicer day, next time we are in the area.

My wife and I hadn't been to Spicers for a few years so we went back on a Sunday afternoon. As usual the parking lot was packed. The place was the same as remembered with the exception of a very nice looking wine tasting area. It bar was crowded so we did not wait. We heard the server say that you could have up to six samples. The play area was always fun for the little ones and 'free'. Not any more! They decided to put a charge on everything. Very disappointing.

Went with a big family group this past Saturday and was totally surprised how nice this place was . It wasnt like the orchards I've gone to in the past . There was wine tasting and growlers you could get filled with a wine that you picked from the tasting . I've never seen wine growlers so I was excited to get one filled with a blueberry wine I tried and loved . There was so many things for our kids to do , from the standard corn maze to zip lines and many other things . Now the one thing that was my favorite ( besides the wine ) was the live music . There was as two person band . A woman on keyboards and a man on guitar . Normally this would be cheesey but they were really good . Both had excellent voices and played beautifuly . From Old Crow Medicine Show to Janis Joplin . I wish I would have asked who they were because I really enjoyed them for hours . It seemed like I never seen them take a break and the covers they did were excellent . My first time here but I'd return just for them if I knew they were gonna perform again !!

Spicer's has lots of parking, but it does fill up on the weekends. We got there around 9:30 am and had no problem with parking and getting donuts and cider. Parking is free. When we left around noon, the place was very busy and the parking lots were filling up. You can get hot, cold or slushy cider and the donuts are warm. There is also pies and other homemade goods for sale. The corn maze was lots of fun. They have apple picking and a large kid play area for $2/ child w/ adults free. The kids enjoyed the zipline for another $6.

Went on a date at Spicers (no kids) on a Saturday at 5pm, an hour before closing time per the website. Found out that they are now closing at 7pm this season. Anyway, completely packed! It is a huge area and they have many activities. The play area cost is $2 per child - no charge for adults, so we were not charged. They have a few animals to pet and feed, was expecting more. The doughnuts and cider are awesome! But, they also make wines and hard cider and offer free tastings! This was probably the best part, but the area for the tastings is small and it will be hard to squeeze in during the weekends and busy times. They did have a little tasting booth on the patio as well, but packed it up early for some reason. So, overall, a great place for a date and to grab some cider, doughnuts, hard cider and wine. Just wish they had more animals and go on a weekday!

Spicer's Orchards offers a lot for a family and kids to enjoy. Cider, donuts, u-pick apples, pies, apple butter, etc, etc. They also have a large play area for kids. It's a large orchard and farm with wagon hay rides too. There's so much to keep you busy on a Fall day, but keep in mind, there are fees to most of the activities, so that may discourage some families with their additional cost. But it is a very nice place to get-away to nonetheless.

We've been to two orchards this year, the first of which was pretty disappointing. Spicers was fabulous! $2 for a giant play area is a great deal, and the play area is MUCH nicer than the majority of local playgrounds. The $2 admission per kid gets them tractor tricycles, a maze, corn barn (so cool!), giant slide, kid-sized zip lines, sand box, swings, several themed play structures (castle and boat), play structure-like stationary train, animals to see, etc. During peak times they also have additional things you can pay to participate in (inflatables, pony rides, feeding animals), but if you choose not to you will still have a fabulous experience. The pumpkin patch is a short tractor ride away - just the perfect distance to get a taste of it without a long bumpy ride. Lots of good pumpkins of pretty reasonable size. There is also a tractor ride to the orchard for apple picking, I believe. Of course the cider and donuts are delicious, and the line may be long but it moves very quickly. There are some other food vendors set up outside to enjoy as well. Try the pumpkin spice donuts; you won't be disappointed. We could have easily spent the whole day here, but my best advice would be to go as early as possible to avoid the rush and enjoy everything when it's a little bit quieter.

We went because someone told us about the cider. We stayed for hours because we had an amazing time once we got there! The month of Oct is some sort of fall festival. They have a pretty fun looking playground for the kids. We met an awesome couple set up there. She was basket weaving and he was demonstrating blacksmith stuff. Rode a wagon thru the apple orchard and ate and picked some delicious apples. Got to sample for free six different wines, which were delicious. Ate donuts, smoked corn on the cob, pulled pork sandwiches, and kettle corn. Yeah we ate too much. Went thru a corn maze (which was not scary!) Loved looking for the hidden questions in the maze! Oh and yeah the the cider was good!

This is a good orchard to go to if you have the money to spend on it. Every thing they offer there has a fee, the playground, train ride, bounce house. The u pick prices are kind of expensive, especially since you can go to the store and buy the same thing for half the price. But there is a lot to do, so you can be entertained for awhile. The cider and doughnuts are really good. We went on a Sunday and it was really, really crowded. So if possible you might want to go on a weekday.

We brought our 3 year old grandson to the Orchard. He ran through the maze, slipped down the slide with the other children, petted the goats and ate two donuts! There is a play structure in the shape of a boat. My grandson loved it and so did I.Can highly recommend Spicers Orchards.

Horrible selection of apples. What apples that were on trees had holes and were blemished. Thought that it was crazy to pay to let the kids play on playground. Never again will we go to spicers
