waukesha county expo center

I have been at Waukesha Expo Center for various functions at various times of the year. It accomodates a medium large crowd well and I enjoyed the cat show, political campaign stop, and the Waukesha County Fair.

I really enjoyed the facility when I was at a gun show here. Plenty of room and easy to park. It was easy to get to also. I was at the county fair here also. I went to many county fairs in the neighboring counties and this one is the biggest and best. In the past the county fair had some great bookings and great fire works.

I was a faithful attendee of the County Fair until they allowed Beer and when they did the incidents of drunks and fight rose....I know I was a Deputy Sheriff who worked it! Empty cans and puddles of puke just aren't my cup of tea. And not to mention rising prices and having to pay to park! So, if you're into all that be my guest but, you won't catch me there....

Unless you are paying big money for your spot to participate in certain events, the Waukesha Expo "powers that be" will not treat you the same or fairly. Vendors vs Participants. Very sad in this day and age to hold monetary biases to any of the people trying to make an event succeed and be a great family event.

I have attended several art and craft shows here in the spring and fall. This is a small scale version of the immense craft shows at WI State Fair buildings - sometimes that's all you want.

Easy to get around, clean bathrooms, some WiFi, good drainage. The buildings were easy to get in and out of and there were nice areas to view the dogs being shown. Lots of good places for shooting photos. There was a good selection of food vendors at the dog show and plenty of places to sit and eat. Lots of trash barrels too for tossing out trash and dog poop bags too -- always like that so people are more inclined to pick up after their dogs. Would have liked the drains in the grassy areas to not be included in the dog show rings in the future, but that would be up to the show superintendent rather than the actual facility. Was happy this year was cooler than in the past -- those 90+ degree dog shows are difficult!

They have the county fair which just finished a week ago. This week there is a dog show. They have the horse show. They will have the Scottish highland games coming up I believe it is held every September. There is a German festival also. It is located next to the Waukesha County Airport. They also do the fireworks on July 4th on the Expo grounds.

I'm relatively new to Waukesha and finally went to an event at the Expo Center this weekend (AKC dog show). I found the facility to be very good - clean, well laid out and good signage to aid traffic flow. It's great that Waukesha has a nice facility like this to host events.

We were there for a craft show this past weekend and it smells like sewer. The place is large enough, just old.

Fun...really really fun. Many people very serious about all things Scottish. The sporting events are fun to watch, like the Caber Toss, but you also get to participate in things like archery, knife throwing, and axe throwing. It was great fun and I didn't even wear a kilt...or have any semblance of Scottish anscestry.

Haggis, Great pipe Bands, Kilts, Dogs, Heavy athletics, Wiskey it was bonney time. Was a bit warm but it was okay.

It was alot of fun and weather really was great. Food choices were minimal but very good food vendors. The games were interesting and fun to watch. Expected a little more to be going on but I was there the last day so not sure if that had anything to do with it.

The design is well thought out, but the sterile atmosphere of the concrete could use some sprucing up.

Holds many interesting type of events. Many are family oriented.

I have never liked the expo center or fairgrounds. It's basic and run down, nothing special.
