Wonderful trails for hiking; lovely picnic areas. Two very popular dog parks (one for small dogs). A true gem in terms of Waukesha County Parks.

The paths for running and CC skiing are great. They have dog parks for small and big dogs. Horses have paths to trot. Archery Range. Swimming in the summer with life guards. Fishing is permitted in certain areas. Winter fishing during the winter Jamboree. The park fee is reasonable..

One of the areas best mtb trails. Highly recommend and the park has a little something for everyone. I also agree that this park has the best dog park in the area.

This county park is a gem just west of Milwaukee situated in Waukesha. There are walking/cross country ski trails situated amongst tall oak tree to keep you busy for several hours. In addition a small swimming beach is fun in the summer and and a GIANT sledding hill makes for family fun in winter. Lots of picnic options, and space to get close with nature. If you have furry friends, the highlight of this park is the dog park. It is hands down the best dog park I've ever been to (and I've lived in several states). It is broken into a large breed and small breed area. A walking loop through the large breed area is approximately a 3/4 mile. There is a large lawn area for playing ball, lots of grass and trees to shade the area. The best part is this park is always filled with other happy dogs playing, so you know your furry friend will have a playmate.
