If you are looking for a winery with one of the best winemakers in the state go here. The strength of the winery is reds, especially Zins. They have a number of them. Prices range from very reasonable for an estate great red to 48 per bottle.They sell barrel futures and ship. The area is very scenic and the workers great. Proof that Napa and Sonoma are not the only places for great wine!

My husband and I initially visited Charles Mitchell Winery in November 2013. The attention we received then was outstanding, and we ended up buying 2 cases of futures (reserve pinot noir and petit syrah), after tasting from the barrels via thief. We were given 2 magnums of two other wines, one of which we opened for my family's Christmas celebration--it was outstanding. We learned, at that time, of the Friday night $10 "all you can eat pizza/pasta." We returned in March 2014 to pick up our first future (pinot noir), and enjoyed the Friday night pizza experience, which I would rate as a great value. Not only was the pizza, pasta and salad wonderful (served on paper plates), but also liters of their pizza wine at $15 each and lobster ($30) were available. We returned the next day to pick up our wine, and the tri tip mean was great, and other wine tastings, including more futures were available. Wine tastings were free. The winemaker was there, and he was interesting and gracious. We are coming back.

We joined the wine of the month club 6 years ago enjoy picking up or selection in person. Endless Pizza every Friday and if you call ahead they will boil you a lobster. You can even bottle your own wine three times a year. Great prices and great wines.

We love their Bottle your own events here, and their futures release parties. They also have all you can eat pizza on friday nights! Really good pizza, fun atmosphere!We return year after year for a great time!Their sangiovese is tasty as well as many other wines and their port is a great value!

It's all you can eat pizza every Friday for $10. They make a wide variety of them and the wine is great. Sinatra music plays in the background.

Love this winery. Great wine and people...picnic tables make it nice to take a lunch and get a bottle or two of wine.

The Grand Reserve is very special and a personal favorite. We had fun as wine club members bottling our own wine over the holiday week-end.
