martin park nature center

It's a great place to get away from the city (within the city). I love the walking trails. There are several and the maps are very informative. You can choose a trail depending on how much time you want to spend there, and how difficult you want the trail to be.

This is wonderful nature experience for families and couples. Beautiful and the nature center is great.

This is a fun, free way to spend a few hours with friends, family, or even yourself. We went in November, and the kids had a blast on the playground, which has a super-cool slide and gym that looks like a giant tree house. We also walked through the trails and went through the nature center. The knowledgeable staff is more than willing to answer any questions about the animals and plants in the area.

Just a neat place to take the kids to see native wildlife. Stroller friendly. go and enjoy for a couple of hours

there are too many 'improvements' going in. this is a nature park not a playground, go to Star and Stripes for that. But the trails are nice and easy walking, plenty of birds and other creatures moving about.

my son (3) loved seeing all the giant turtles and fish in the water. Some guy was throwing cat food into the water and the turtles and fish were in a frenzy. Some of the biggest turtles I've ever seen!

My kids ages, 7, 4, & 1 loved exploring at the Martin Park... the visitor's center has many educational exhibits that were hits with the kids. The bee keeping exhibit is fantastic to see the bees working busily. They have a nice playground- we didn't stop to play on it this trip but plan on going back! There's also a fun place to play in a creek/waterway. We were unprepared and didn't have swimsuits, shoes, etc but hope to go back to play and splash on a hot day. It looked like a blast. My kids love the outdoors and love wildlife so they enjoyed searching for wildlife and seeing the houses, nests, feeders along the way. We didn't see much wildlife this trip but they still enjoyed the visit immensely.

You will never believe your in the middle of a huge City. This is such an escape from the rat race. Enjoy hikes & see all the wild life come out to greet you.

I love this place. Its quiet and very beautiful. Great place to go by yourself or go with the family.

It's so nice to go here and feel like you're out of the city for a couple hours. Our girl LOVES exploring here. The park isn't fantastic, but it doesn't have to be. There's plenty to do!

My son (4) and I go here about once a week during the week. We try and get here as soon as it opens because it gets crowded quickly (daycares in the summer), so that we can see wildlife near the streams. Last trip, we saw an owl and watched a deer for about 10 minutes. They have just put in a new playground that is really cool (tree house like). Probably wouldn't be impressive for tourists coming from beautiful states like Colorado, but great for our area and many others.

There is a lot of nature to explore! The nature center seems to have activities all throughout the year to experience! Knowledgable volunteers! Lots to do! Great picnic spots too!

This nature park is in the middle of a busy and well trafficked area in OKC. It has woods, open areas, streams and lots of deer, some coyotes,. and red fox. We saw about 5-6 young deer today along with a buck. It has about 3 different trails which connect up so that one can take all 3. We find it a welcome respite from the strip malls and bland buildings along the road. Recommended for solo, couples, families and friends.

This park has been around since I was a child. It's a great place to take the kids to burn off some energy. You will see lots of birds, prarie dogs, turtles, and there are lots of trails to explore.

My wife and I have frequented the park since before we were married. It is a great place to take your family. They just put in a brand new kids play area for the kids too small to hike all the trails. We see deer and other animals almost every time we go. There is a good trail for running just to the side of the park.
