Women have been playing softball for decades. This museum tells the stories, shows the serious athleticism, triumphs and losses. Many media exhibits and interviews are here. Also old uniforms, bats and balls show the development and history that has led us to softball excitement like our 2004 US Woman's Olympic Team. Young women and men can learn from the clearly laid out exhibits about the history and interesting characters who have played this great American Game. There are several softball fields and national tournaments are played here with great fanfare.Good location, easy on off Highway. Near to other interesting activities, like OKC Zoo, Firefighters Museum and the Science Museum.

Do not get me wrong. This was still a very good stop. I was expecting a great stop. There was lots of info on the Women's US Olympic teams - especially 2004. Some of this was of interest, but a lot of less interesting clips from talk shows and improper comments during interviews. To make it a great stop, in my view, there would have had so much more on the NCAA Softball Championships. There is a small section downstairs which lists the eventual champion year after year. But nothing on the other seven teams, no interest stories about the series, no scores, no stats. Yet alone any information on the college seasons or the regionals or super regionals to get to the series. To me this was a huge void. This in and of itself could fill an entire room with several interactive computers to allow one to check the first round games of the 2011 series if one was so inclined. No fee to enter, only a request for donations. Maybe a small fee would help fund these kinds of improvements. If you cannot make it, I suggest that for anyone who cannot make it in person, but loves the game of softball, mail in a donation.

Some of the best athleticism can be found when the softball championships are going on. The museum is worth the visit any time of year. Plus this is centrally located near many other exhibits such as the Okla. Firefighter's Museum; The actually superior Okc. Zoo; an excellent hands-on Science Museum suitable for all ages, in the same parking lot as the Zoo just across the street a bit from the Softball museum; and lastly the competition-rated top notch horse race track the Remington Park. Plan a day or more to see it all, you won't regret it.

My daughter played here in a softball tournament and it was a great experience for all. The complex is top notch and we will try to come back again in the future! Loved Oklahoma City!

We have been to this event a few times at this venue and it is always well worth the cost. The entertainment level at softball games is faster pace and more exciting than baseball games, in general. Be sure to park at Remington Park and take the shuttle in so get free parking. Also, if you don't have tickets there will be scalpers at Remington Park selling tickets at a cut rate. Just know the going rate before you get there.

Me and my wife have been going here for the last 3 years. This sounds like a long time but given we live 2 hrs away, I am a shame it has only been 3 years. Where can you go and watch the best 8 teams in the country play for under 200 bucks at least 20 games try doing that math. It is hot in oklahoma so be prepared for that sunblock is a must. This is a must do for singles, couples, and families

I don't know what I expected, but it lacked it. I felt like there should be a more overwhelming feeling of "we made it" when walking in, but nope, just a normal old place.

This is a Hall of Fame Shrine not a Museum please keep that in mind...nice gift shop with some souvenirs even OKC stuff. I would say 30 Minutes max if you are not baseball/softball fan if you are fan then I would say 90 minutes. Nice locations some good photo ops. It is worth a 30 minutes detour. It's free! You are free to wander around. No guest book to sign, no tour guides and no donation box.

I happen to love baseball and softball...and if you do, too, then you should not miss this. We were there during the Women's College World Series, another can't miss attraction. Take time to go through this...it will only improve as the years go on

We visited the Hall of Fame in between games at the World Cup of Softball. It is a quick walk from the stadium. It gives a nice history of softball and also has an Olympic room to read about US softball in the Olympics. Lots of game apparel and of course the members of the hall of fame. Nice gift shop as well. It is free and you won't spend a lot of time there. Plenty of parking. We did pay $5 to park for the softball games, so not sure if parking is free when they don't have games going on. Check their website as they are closed weekends from October- March.

Came here for the womens college world series and had down time between games. The flyer in the hotel said buy one get one free but when we went in the cashier they told us it was by donation (of course we pitched in money!) It gives you a in depth view of the birth of softball. The most interesting part is the Olympics where they play a video about team USA through out the years and the reaction to it being pulled from the games.Downstairs they have the college softball section, the new age of asa awards and champions, and more memoribilia from team USA. Really neat and worth checking out.. make sure if its by donations you pitch in to help a great cause. Also they have a great giftshop too

The Softball Hall of Fame, is a Sportsman's must-see. There are uniforms and gloves, but the docents with tour groups are best.Laid out in a logical pattern, one wanders along the histories of softball, from back lot rallies, to sanctioned events, to an Olympic sport!

If you enjoy sports at all you will like the National Softball Hall of Fame. It is an excellent place for the entire family. Everyone will love it.

The HOF is well laid out and offers a walk through the history of softball. Lots to see and read about the game and it's personalities. If you're a player, you'll enjoy it!
