the marietta brewing company

Located in down town Marietta Ohio, Wonderful micro brewed beer and the food is good.They have local bands playing several times a year. Brewer is in an old brick building and has several murals painted on the inside walls.

They have a great selection of mostly ales. Only had wings to eat but they were good and menu had a good selection. I liked the decorative decor but don't expect much in terms if an actual attraction. It is mostly a nice bar with bar food and good selection of home crafted beer. Beers run about $4.25 I. This night.

I draw this distinction because I am rating this under the "attractions" category. As an attraction, this is very poor. There is a small beer operating business in the front of the bar that you can look at and hear a very brief description of. As a restaurant or bar, I would rate this place much higher (and you will see so under their other listing). However, as an attraction, it is NOT worth stopping in. Only go if you are interested in drinking or eating, not to see the "attraction."

I have eaten several times here and the food and service is pretty good. The prices are reasonable and they brew some of their own beer.

A must for out of town visitors, the Marietta Brewing Company is one of the best lunch or dinner joints for local flavor. The MBC offers their own line of IPA, Ales and Rootbeer that cannot be beat. Having sampled most of the menu, I have yet to order something I did not like. Every night, you will find live music -- unless it's Trivia Night.
