If you miss the old time used book store, you gotta stop here. And don't plan to stay for just five minutes. Room after room is jammed full of books from floor to ceiling in this old house. No romance novels here and no master database either. You can wander to your heart is content or ask your congenial but unobtrusive host for help. Take a granola bar in case you get lost in the stacks or in nostalgia.

A wonderful, old-fahioned but well organized used book store. You can spend as much time in the old store in an old house as you have available.

This was our favorite stop in Vermont. It was right in the middle of town, and has rows and rows of books. There is every subject you can think of, and there are some antique books as well.

I LOVE this place, it is fantastic for browsing and finding tons of eclectic books and ephemera. A stone's throw away from River Run and Positive Pie restaurants in funky downtown Plainfield. In the summer, there's a Farmer's Market on Sunday afternoons right across the street. There is also the unique Blinking Light Art Gallery right around the corner.Ben also has periodic "half off" sales where everything is marked down by 50%. Get on his mailing list so you can be aware of these sales ahead of time.If you're a bibliophile and you pass through the town of Plainfield, you must stop here at the Bookshop, it is a wonderful little slice of book heaven.
