pompano municipal pier

Very nice playground for kids and a place to walk around. Sports equipment right on the beach. Very relaxing.

We were staying in Sunrise Fl. and this was the closest beach to get to. It was well worth the drive. The parking was close and inexpensive, the sand was clean and the water was beautiful. I have to say I was surprised how crowded the beach was for a Wednesday afternoon in the off season. We were so glad we chose this beach. On a side-note, I was impressed with the lifeguard near where we sat. He was vigilant and saw him rise to action when a young girl looked like she may be heading out too far. Great day!

For all the money the city spent to make the area better that pier needs some help! That stand needs to be cleaned! How about some more open hours? For all the people who come here they are not serviced! Shame on Pimpano Beach!

It´s worth to walk to the (end of the) Pier:From here, you have a great view to the beach and you can catch a good breeze of fresh sea-air.

Nice 4 hour fishing trip. Love those pelicans. They wait all day for the tours to come back in. Then they fill those amazing beaks and fly off. I'm in awe of how much they hold. Oh yeah, fishiong trip was pretty cool as well

This beach is impeccably maintained-there is a paved walkway that runs along the beach - great for joggers and walkers - rest-rooms are clean -outdoor bar-b-ques are plentiful-there is a designated outdoor fitness area with 6 or 7 machines and the pier is great-----giving a feeling of being out on the waves and enjoying the beautiful sunsets----Perfect

we went there fishing every night . The staff was friendly and the fossets on the pier for cleaning fish were great. We will deffenitly fish there when we go back .

Pretty and there is a little park nearby right on that ocean. It was a twenty minute walk from hotel.

We decided to do a little fishing on the pier, there was no fee for fishing or walking on the pier. There were plenty of places to clean fish or your hands so if you bring your lunch that the sinks are a plus. There is a playground for small children & a concession stand. We will always come back!

This pier is not the most interesting ones in the area...We got to go a couple of times, but will not return..There is not much parking...Its just not as fun as other piers in the other cities near by...

When I have the chance, I try to fish off this pier. Text late a lot of fun and you do catch things. The pier has been here for many many years.Always fun to go.

updated pier. No fee to go on pier and good fishing. Much better than the pier at Lauderdale by the sea where they charge you to go on the pier and to fish.

I'ts been a long time since I have been in Pompano, but I grew up vacationing there every winter with family. It seems as though the pier is undergoing some revitalization efforts as the end of it is fenced off and there looks to be work being done (though it didn't look recent). That aside, Its a pier that goes out into the ocean....Lots of room for people to fish, or just soak up some sun and watch the fish through the clear water beneath. Not a bad way to unwind for an hour or so. Make sure you remember your parking space number. You'll need it for the parking payment machine.

This area has recently been renovated, they have made this very family friendly. The view of the ocean is fabulous, you can fish or just feed the birds.

Close by; outside exercise equipment; picnic areas; beach; fishing; place to meet friendly people; very clean and well maintained.
