Nice facility to hold regional event for USFIRST. Plenty of parking. Clean and had enough space for the number of teams entered for the even. The only major issue was no loading dock for handling equipment necessary for the event
My husband and I decided to take our son to the Georgia National Rodeo for a quick trip during his break from school. We decided to attend the Saturday night show and were very pleased, there was no problem with accessing the parking (free); our tickets were held and ready for us at the Will-Call booth; the show started on time; our seats had ample leg space; restrooms were clean; refreshment stands provided good food/prices/customer service; and we really enjoyed the horses and bulls at the SOLD OUT crowd! This was our first time attending the rodeo in Perry, Georgia (great seats in section T/row 10) and I'm sure we will return again in the future. Awesome rodeo and we had a bonus.... had a chance to see the minature horse, Lickity Split, doing tricks with the trainer.
the ag center has so much going on it brings all kind of events to perry ga, and the city and co. are makeing very good profit off visitors, well worth the trip. from horse shows to mud bogging to dog shows to the annual fair. great place come visit.
Great Show with lot's of things for the Outdoorsman! Hunting and fishing galore! Show goes for 2 1/2 days so plenty of opportunity to see and find what your looking for.
We attended a coin show at the fairgrounds. Nice show and set up. Nice facility but the concession needs a lot of help!! Food not very tasty and prices are absolutely ridiculous!!
The facility is all indoors with adequate cooling and heating. The dirt is fresh but could be raked smoother because my small dogs have trouble running over the larger clumps during their competition. The stadium seats are quite comfortable and the space between rows have enough room for the 19"x30" crates to fit in between.
Stopped here on way back from the frigid north. Lots of rides for the kids. Beautiful animals, didn't even know there was a breed of horse specific to pulling gypsy wagons, and it's beautiful and sturdy. Vendors were respectful and clean. Tried a fried Twinkie and snickers just because I had to know!!! Recommend the snickers if you are a sweet freak. Had some hillbilly joy juice? In root beer which was refreshing, but the vendor was why we bought it. Quite a character. Some of the most beautiful quilts, wood work and crafts I have ever seen. Display buildings nice and most air conditioned. Bought a bracelet too!! Most walkways are asphalt,so that's nice, but a little hot. I'd go back in. New York minute
Everyone from any nearby state needs to attend this event. It is a very clean, safe location. Well lit, well attended, well-kept. Lots and lots of parking, though you may have to walk a bit sometimes, there is even a tram available to take you to the gate.
I think it is the best Fair Grounds .. I have been to a lot of them in my life time .. Spent 4 days at the fair this year and did not see every thing ..I like this fair better then our Florida State Fair..
We show livestock there, and enjoy the huge variety of shows to see. Weekends are insanely crowded, so go on a weekday if possible
This year was my 5th time attending the GA National Fair. There's so much to see & do, lots of entertainment (bands, singers, musicians, comedians) that is included in the gate admission. The GA National Fairgrounds facility is great, plenty of free parking, midway and walkways are all paved, excellent exhibit halls & livestock arenas. The entire facility is maintained and kept clean. The Georgia Living building houses home and fine art entries from all over the state including photographs, paintings, sculpture, wood carving, quilts, and horticulture entries. The Reithoffer Shows midway is huge, plenty of rides. If you like fairs, you will love this one, it's great!
This was my family's first time to experience the Georgia National Fair, adults paid an entrance fee (my 7yr old son was free) and then we had to pay for additional tickets/wristband for certain rides and attractions. It was VERY confusing as we tried to purchase the wristbands, you get in a LONG line to pay the fee and then you go to another LONG LONG line to receive the wristband. A few people were standing in line for wristbands and then were shocked to learn they were in the wrong line (after standing for a long time) because they needed to go pay .....better signage or communication is needed. We visited on a Sunday (the last day) and there were crowds but thankfully my son chose rides with descent/short lines. We also had a chance to see the "Pig Races" -- which was a treat. There were plenty of places to pick/choose any and everthing to eat (some vendors were rude and others pretty curteous). We arrived at noon, no problem parking and we were prepared to do a lot of walking. We stayed almost five hrs and had done our share of riding before calling it a day. The weather was sunny and a pleasant breeze would come through every now --- nice family day at the fair. This was our first time (it's located 1.5 hrs from our home) and I can't say it will be an annual event for our family to attend but we survived.
The Georgia National Fair is well done. It is spacious and the crowds are manageable. There were many interesting booths. There was every kind of fair food imaginable. A great place to blow a diet!
Decided to go to the Ga National Fair in Perry Ga. today. This was our first trip there even though we are lifetime Ga residents. I wish we had gone long time before now. We spent all day walking the grounds (the terrain is flat and easy to walk) and enjoyed watching the people and kids having a great time. Every kind of amusement ride you could imagine along with every type of fair food you could possibly want. Parking is free and tickets at the gate cost us 10$ for adult tickets. Plenty of resting spots and bathrooms scattered all over the park. Overall a great day. We have already planned next years trip.
No matter what event you go to- horse show, dog show, fair, concert, rally, or anything else... It is always so clean!! Bathrooms are always clean, the people that work there are the nicest and it is safe! The int thing I know that isn't so great is the RV parking in fields. If t rains you might get stuck (horse trailers too). Just beware. Fun times and tons of memories here for me and my family the past 25+ years!
