In Kinshasa, where entertainment is virtually absent, this place is touted by the expats as exceptional. Don't believe them. It's located in a pretty setting, but the contents are banal at best. Mass produced tourist junk (some of it not even from the DRC) at wildly inflated prices. I saw nothing of any real quality in 20 minutes of browsing.The only reason to come here is to buy a last minute gift for someone back home who doesn't know any better.

Symphonie des Arts is a beautiful handicrafts and greenery store just outside the huzzle and buzzle of Kinshasa city. Run by a friendly German lady, set in a lush garden, SdA gives you a lovely half hour break away from daily Kin routine.

Un endroit sympa pour qui veut se couper du monde kinois. Les jardins et le décor méritent que vous y passiez. Il y a des paons en liberté et plusieurs oiseaux dans des volières. La galerie expose pas mal d'objets et de tableaux. Mais les prix sont un peu élevés comparé à ce que l'on peut trouver aux marchés ou en ville. Il y a aussi une salle de danse.
