I've hunted with Wayne several times now in Maryland and highly recommend him and his guides. He puts in the time before the season and before the hunt getting his locations scouted and his blinds ready. When you show up, things are ready. This is not only obviously important but a great change from some other guides I have hunted with over the years. He works hard and gets results. If you don't kill ducks and geese with him either the weather hasn't cooperated (which is hunting, after all) or you didn't shoot straight (which happens to all of us, for God sake.) I recommend him without hesitation and rank him with the top three guides I have hunted with in Arkansas, Maryland and Alberta, Canada over the past twenty five years of waterfowl hunting.

My first trip hunting with Wayne was a success. He is a professional guide and called in several flights of reluctant birds. Four of us shot our limit before lunch. Before lunch we stopped at a local business that plucks or breasts out the birds for a very reasonable rate, they were ready to pick up in short order and they were professionally cleaned. Look forward to going back to shoot up some of the plentiful geese.

I booked an afternoon fishing trip with Captain Wayne for a group of 11 people. Our group included adults with varying amounts of experience and several children ranging in age from 7-13. Captain Wayne made certain that our trip fit the needs of our participants. He knew that we needed to keep the children occupied, so he took us to several different spots and introduced us to several methods of fishing. What a success! Very rarely did 5 minutes pass without someone reeling in a fish. I had originally booked this trip as a 40th birthday present for my husband, but since it was so much fun we have decided to make it an annual event.

We went on an afternoon fishing trip with Captain Wayne and Susan on a cloudy afternoon out of Rock Hall, MD. The trip was a huge success! Not only did we catch big Rockfish, we had fun, laughs, and actually learned a lot. Wayne and Susan were happy to answer any and all of our questions and never seemed bored or annoyed at all. The fish was fileted and divvied up right on the boat, which was very clean, by the way. I loved this trip!!

This was our first experience chartering a fishing boat. We booked an afternoon trip out of Rock Hall, MD Wayne and his mate,this day happened to be Susan, his wife made the day perfect by putting us on a great fishing spot. It was a short ride out to the fishing grounds. Wayne and Susan could not have done a better job. We caught our limit...big, pretty Rockfish. Wayne is very attentive to his customers...running around keeping the lines baited, netting the fish, and keeping us straight. We will definitely be going out again with him. A camera is a must to capture the fun times. It was a perfect day on the bay.

This was my first time fishing for Tarpon and I had an absolute blast. Capt. Wayne Gatlin is the real deal, he's exactly what you want in a guide/charter service. He was a true professional, it was obvious his focus was making my fishing trip as successful as possible and he put every effort into making that happen. Thanks Captain Wayne for a fantastic tarpon trip! We appreciate the extra effort you always make - moonlight departure, pre-scouting the best spots, and catching fresh baits. Would have been a good time even if we hadn't caught the target tarpon but fighting and releasing the big tarpon was fantastic fun! Catching a limit of snapper, enough for many meals, was a major bonus. Can't wait till next year's trip!

Wayne was great!!! He found the fish! We caught a bunch of big, heavy striped bass. He worked very hard for us and was determined to find fish for us. He has the knowledge needed to get us fish. He was always running around trying to make sure that our trip was productive and enjoyable. I'd recommend him! I'd use him again in a minute.

This is the second of our annual fishing weekend with friends. We all caught fish, he was very helpful and guided us through our mistakes. He goes out of the way to make sure you have a good time. We will see him next year

Been fishing with Capt. Wayne for a number of years. He knows that part of the Chesapeake Bay as well as anybody. Had a charter with Capt. Wayne 1st. weekend in June & he put us right on the fish in one stop. Had our limit in a few hours and kept on with catch & release. If you don't catch fish with Capt. Wayne then nobody is catching fish.

I have been fishing with Captin Wayne for over 10 years in Rock Hall MD and I'm convinced that He is the hardest working Captin in that area. He knows the area like no other and always seems to be able to find fish even when the fishing is slow. His boat always seems to out fish everyone else. He always has the fish cleaned and in bags ready to take home by the time we get to the dock . We take our employees out fishing and we always charter His boat and he is always on time ,actually He is always early and chomping at the bit to get going when we get there! There is nothing like pulling into the dock at 5:30 am and you see your Captin jumping up and down ready to get going:) He seems as excited to catch fish as his clients.
