My pair of 9-year-old twin boys were a bit tired of touring Boston for couple of days, but they were thrilled to come upon this beautiful playground that is located near the Science Museum. They had fun checking out the various types of equipments that seem to be thoughtfully planned & designed. This place reminded me of Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYC. It instantly became my favorite Cambridge/Boston spot because of the close-up stunning view of the Zakim Bridge, which now is the city's most recognizable landmark. I could not get enough of the beautiful view, fresh river breeze and my children's energetic laughter in the playground. This place is a must for anybody traveling with families as well as for anyone looking for the perfect spot to appreciate the peace & wonder of the historical city of Boston.

One cool November day while visiting Boston, I decided to take a walk and explore North Point Park. From North Station, Boston, I walked up Causeway Street to a path along Beverly Street that led me over the top of the Charles River locks. I could look down on the giant gears that turn the gates. I continued on a trail that led me underneath the beautiful and majestic Zakim Bridge. Following the Charles River Trail heading west, I entered North Point Park. I paused to visually take in what appeared to be a skateboarding facility. (I read that this park will someday have a grand Charles River Skate Park and Skate Plaza south of Industrial Park Road). A nearby pedestrian bridge, the North Bank Bridge, connects North Point Park to Paul Revere Park in Charlestown. Continuing on the North Point Park trail, I stopped across the channel from the Museum of Science. The opportunities for trail walking are extensive in this area, with interconnecting trails along both banks of the Charles River bordering Boston, Cambridge and Charlestown, and continuing through the Charlestown Navy Yard Harbor Walk up to the Mystic River.

We visited the park Sunday morning and it wonderful for children of all ages. We had a group of kids from ages 1 - 11 and they all found something fun to do. There is a splash pad 3 playground areas - one for small children and two others for older kids. The park is also a great spot for a picnic. Park at the Cambridge Side Galleria for $3.99 for the day and walk over to the park. Highly recommend spending and afternoon here.

Boston con chicos puede ser terrible porque se aburren asique hay que intercalar los lugares. North Point Park fue la pausa para los chicos y no defraudo, todos nos divertimos mucho y eso es porque esta pensado para chicos!!!!
