national streetcar museum

Very small, good for children under 10, lots of information for adults about transportation in Lowell MA but be ready to read. Small fee, some might feel it is not worth it though.

I've been there, was not too impressed. The exhibits seem mostly targeted for young children. They are associated with the Streetcar Museum in Maine, you may find that worth the trip or at least a look at my review.

I love rail travel and was hoping for something a little more here. The place was OK, but a tad of a disappointment to Baltimore's Streetcar Museum.

This is a small little museum that has a lot of good information. It is fun for both kids and adults. The second floor is for kids and it has many different things, including a wooden railway to build. The downstairs portion is very informative. It is a lot of reading, though. They even have a small excursion on an old trolley. The only bad thing was that it didn't really have a gift shop. It's a fun place.

This museum is small, but a great stop for families. They have an entire floor of interactives for kids (especially those interested in trains or trolleys). The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. No big gift shop either!
