Aaron, our guide, was very informative and enthusiastic which made the experience nice. The kids (9 and 14) enjoyed his stories. Beautiful cavern with lakes...and I hope they find more rooms as they expect to do so.
The admission is about $15 per person, but it was worth seeing. I have never been to a cave, so I thought it was very interesting. My husband has seen bigger caves, so he wasn't as impressed as I was. The guide had a lot of great information and made the tour interesting. I would suggest it for anyone who loves exploring caves. The underground lake and history were probably the most fascinating parts of the tour.
my grandchildren and myself have visited several caverns in the area, this is one of the best. besides all the informative information, the gift shop is nice and reasonable. would go again
The cave itself is typical in most ways, but its history is fascinating. The guides here are so knowledgeable and can answer your questions very well. There is a lovely gift shop where a person can spend some time browsing (and buying). Prices are reasonable and the people who run it are terrific folks. If you're visiting the Ozarks near Table Rock, this cave is worth the drive down to Arkansas. It's only 30 to 40 minutes to get there and the scenery makes it worthwhile.
I enjoy taking cave tours and this one is on top of the list. I have visited this cavern twice and still enjoyed it. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The two lakes in the cave amaze me and the fish that live in it. If your in the area, this tour is well worthwhile and priced just right.
Our guide was very informative and easy to talk to. It was a moderately easy hike and well lighted. The lakes were so pretty. I hadn't known what to expect and was surprised at their color. The gift shop is also very nice. Well stocked and lots to look at. Had a great time.
We had been to the Talking Rocks Caverns first and enjoyed it so much we decided to go the hour drive to Cosmic Caverns. It was a lovely drive through the Ozarks seeing Table Rock Lake and the various sights along the way. The Cosmic Caverns were so different from the Talking Rocks that it was amazing to compare. They are both delightfully beautiful, one being deep and one being long with various rooms. Our guide Erin, was extremely knowledgeable. The walking was mainly on the level with some 60 stairs. It was interesting to know that at times the whole cave is under water. I got terrific pictures and would advise anyone to go. Worth the money and the time spent.
Cosmic Cavern is amazing! I'm from the Tampa Bay area and had never been in a cave before. It was a great experience being almost 400 ft. below ground level. I now have a new appreciation for our miraculous planet! The staff was great and extremely knowledgeable! There is an immense amount of history deep below our Earth's surface, and the tour guides at Cosmic Cavern present it in a way that you can't help but be fascinated. It was an absolutely mind-blowing experience to witness the Earth regenerating herself right in front of my very eyes. Cosmic Cavern has a highly welcoming atmosphere and I can't wait to come back for my next tour! Cosmic Cavern is a definite wonder of our planet!!
We really enjoyed the cavern tour. The guide was very informative and fun! There was a lot to see and learn!
My husband and I visited the cavern on our anniversary trip. We very much enjoyed our guide Jason and his wonderful sense of humor and excellent knowledge and obvious love for this truly unique place. My husband was a very happy camper and will not likely forget this trip any time soon!!!!
My girlfriend and I went on a Friday afternoon to do the regular tour and the wild cave tour. The wild cave tour was awesome. There was a lot of free climbing through the cave, including army crawling through pools of mud and shimmying up a 45 foot chimney crawl. The tour was physically challenging and could be pretty scary at points as well. Our tour guide, Jesse, did a great job of leading us over obstacles and making us feel secure. We had a lot more confidence in our climbing ability by the end of the tour. There were also great photo ops, and Jesse was awesome about finding them and taking pictures of us. Bring a disposable camera, though!
Great tour, beautiful cave, good tour guide. It's not a short tour so eat and use the restroom before you start the tour. Wear old clothes and shoes, we came out muddy/dirty. The cave is warm and humid, which is opposite of most caves. You will walk on narrow walkways high above a bottomless lake. If you are scared of heights and being way under the ground, then you should not go in this cave. If you are an x- large person or have limited mobility, you should not go in this cave. We enjoyed it and would go again if we are in that area. Just a tip about the area: there's only one gas station around and they are higher than most. Get gas in town before you drive out to this rural area. Also, an interesting fact about that area. Tyson is the largest employer in that area. There are a lot of chicken and turkey farms. You do not want to be at that little country gas station when a poultry poop truck pulls up - the smell!!!Visited November 2014
I thought this experience was great...my wife and I just left there a few hours ago and it will be a fond memory that will stick with us for awhile. I've been to many caves in several different states, both public and private. This is one of my favorites. It was well kept and worth the price of admission. Will go back, but next time we will take the wild tour! Oh, our guide was very well informed and absolutely passionate about what he did. And being a geologist myself, gave me much respect for for him and the way this business operated.
My fiance and I loved the cave tour we went on with tour guide, Jason. He was very informative and creative in the way he told the information on the cavern. It was absolutely beautiful inside and seeing the bottomless North Lake was really cool! We highly recommend this attraction to Eureka Springs visitors!
Jason was an awesome guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job teaching us about the history of the cave as well as the geology of how it was formed. I didn't expect to see so many formations so I was pleasantly surprised when we got into the back section. For reference, I also saw War Eagle Cave, which was a real cool tour, but didn't really have any of the formations that Cosmic Cavern did. If you only have time for one then definitely go to Cosmic Cavern. Only thing I wished I had time for was the wild tour which would have taken us further back to see more formations. I will definitely schedule a wild tour next time I'm in town.
