mackintosh fruit farm

I like supporting local businesses like this and McIntosh is the best. You cannot beat fresh,,, luckily we are in the valley and fresh is easy.

Attended their July Farm dinner and it great!All of the fruits and vegetables came directly from the farm and were all prepared on site. The girls hired as waitresses were all very friendly and they even brought in two guys to play guitar during dinner.Apparently every meal is different so I will not speak to that but if you have the chance to go out there for their dinner, you definitely should jump on the opportunity.

Are you kidding me?!? Pawpaw ice cream sundae? Fennel salad? All the food at the harvest dinner was awesome. They used local teenagers for the food service and all of them were so polite and helpful.

Bill and Lori are good friends. Lori also cuts my hair. Now for the fruit farm: Excellent produce accurately represented. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. I'd go there even if I didn't know them personally. I go to farm frequently and buy from them at local farmers' market as well.

My family and I visited the farm on a weekday morning in early September. We got a Living Social deal for peach and nectarine picking, a first for each of us. This is a working family farm with a variety of farm fresh produce, depending on the season. There is also an on site bakery. MacKintosh has a small limited menu lunch type bar with cobbler, sandwiches, smoothies, etc. I had a peach muffin and smoothie, they were average. We picked two bags (pecks?) of peaches and nectarines. The grounds were well cared for and even though there were cows and horses near by, I could barely smell anything. The staff was pleasant and the area was clean and welcoming. I would like to come out again one day and pick peppers and tomatoes. Everything was just so healthy looking.

We visited here last summer and again last week and have been very happy both times. Last year we picked just peaches and had a snack there. This year they had a special that if you bought 25lbs of peaches, they were only $1/lb so my friend and I decided to do that and split the box. Worked out perfect. The peaches were delicious and I'm so happy that we went back. My friend's husband did pick the blackberries but I felt they were too tart and sour this year so we didn't pick them. I would love to go back! Oh! We did try their peach milkshakes this year and they were fantastic! Inspired me to make peach ice cream with my 12lbs of peaches!

The produce is always tasty and fresh! We have been getting their fruits and berries for many years now! Have also enjoyed the once-a-month farm dinners.

We went to pick berries, and 20 minutes later were sitting out a thunderstorm! Even then, we had a great time with drinks & fresh fruit from the snack bar. In better weather, we probably would have stayed all afternoon. But we had just as much fun, in a shorter time, in spite of the rain. Can't wait to go back!
