smith lake park

this is a terrific campground. they have multiple pull through sites, with full hookups, and many special events through the year. the Putt putt course, and the swimming pool, are terrific attractions. but the main event is of course the Lake. they have an incredible beach there. this is the introduction to the third cleanest lake in the USA - and the most beautiful Lake in Alabama.

Highly recommended very good prices, it has tent sites and full and basic camper hook ups. Lots of events all year round we love it and will be back there when we are back in Cullman.

It has places to park RV's, has a pool (that is hardly open), and a boat slip. NOTHING ELSE THERE! Waste of time to go!!

Smith Lake Park is set up very well. The lake itself, on occasion, leaves something to be desired. It is a great local hangout but I personally would not go way out of my way to visit.

We stayed at the cabins instead of the usual motels for this trip and really enjoyed the park. The cabins are set way in the back where it is quiet and peaceful. They are clean and comfortable and cost less than staying in a hotel. You just have to know that you need to bring your own sheets/towels and cookware. The cabins have a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove so extended stays are economical if you make your meals. The park has a pool and miniature golf (could use a little maintenance on the golf though). You can also swim in the lake or go fishing. We will definitely stay here again.
