Beautiful in spring ,rhododendrons were in full bloom and lovely walk over looking the New River and mountains.

Quick note: we didn't stay, just played.Stopped here for one of our "optional" parks for the VIPP program. Was a neat place to visit and see before heading to the hotel. The weather was perfect - folks were out-and-about playing, walking, fishing, and grilling. Beautiful layout, plenty of space, and cozy feeling. Hope to visit with family and friends, if we getta chance to head this way again.

the view was pretty - but the walk around the waterfall was muddy and there didn't seem to be many trails - a little boring

We stopped by after going to Someplace Special Gem Mine. This is a beautiful park... we were only there a short time. We went into the Visitors Center and found some local brochures. Used the restroom and got a soda from the machine (only $1.00 for a 20 ounce bottle). The lake is just beautiful. Wish we had more time there.

We go to this park often because it's close but really it's not very well maintained. The bridge that was built new this Summer was destroyed by a storm and it's still open to the public and really looks like it could fall in the water at any moment. The little lake is nice, you can fish and paddle boat in it. We walk there often and picnic sometimes.

You can catch 4 inch long bluegill all day long on waxworms, but there are not many decent size fish in the lake. It is way overfished for the small size it is. The walking trails, biking trails, and paddleboats are great fun.

Lots of walking or hiking trails, beautiful lake, nice picnic shelters. The trail aground the lake is a very peaceful relaxing walk. We really enjoyed our visit. Worth the trip.

The lake is lovely with access all the way around on a very good trail. Picture opportunitys everywhere.

Great place to get a good walk in. Grab the dogs and kids and make a family adventure out of it. Safe place for everyone.

check it out in the fall! Summer there was nice. Fall i gotta believe is the perfect time!
