Ocean State Theatre Co. began productions in 2007, reviving the iconic summer venue, Theatre By The Sea. OSTC then built its own first-rate, year-round theatre in 2012 in the heart of Rhode Island, and has been producing nine shows per year since. Using actors, designers and other professionals - some local, some from New York, some from other places throughout the country, they produce quality that is unsurpassed. And they don't always play it "safe," presenting a mix of classics like "The King and I," "Sound of Music," and "Les Miserables" along with more edgy musicals like "Rent," contemporary musicals such as "Legally Blonde, The Musical" and "Miracle on 34th Street, The Musical." They also have stepped out of the mainstream to produce plays that have included "Diary of Anne Frank," "Race," and "The Meeting," This Company works hard to engage its patrons, with the producers, staff and Board members greeting patrons personally, seeking their input and feedback. Put this all together with the easy access off the highway and free, close and easy parking, and OSTC becomes an arts and entertainment venue that can have appeal to everyone - as well as being a tremendous asset to the community, both artistically and economicallly.

The production of "THE MEETING" is an intriquing way to examine the different views of MLK & Malcolm X. The play has no intermission, so there is no disruption of emotion or attention. It was well acted & directed, so we decided to attend a 2nd performance with other friends. This is a production that should be seen by young folks, who have never lived through this era of 2 great leaders. I hope others take this opportunity to watch this profound, absorbing play with excellent actors.

My wife and I enjoy the Theater, PPAC, Theatre By The Sea and we have now added Ocean State Theatre as a nice theater we attend with some great performances.The theater is somewhat small so the seating is always good with great sound. When we started attending performances we noticed that there was easy access and great seating for those with disabilities. Our daughter is limited to a wheelchair and we have taken her to a few shows at Ocean State. I will never forget her comment she made after the performance of "Les Miserables" it was great and with the seating for the first time ever I could actually see the "Grand Finale". It is just a nice Theater with a great and personable staff.

It's wonderful that this theater company is now in Warwick. I have enjoyed all of the shows that I have seen there. The quality of the acting is top notch.

We went to their theater in Warwick. The space and location are a bit strange from the outside as it is a converted car dealership. But, it is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The inside is nice and the acting was very good. It makes for a very pleasant night out.

There are literally no bad seats at the Ocean State Theatre. Productions are professional and elaborate. The staff is wonderful. Tickets are reasonable.

have gone twice this year. only open aprox 2 years but they do have their act together. Pun) Show was very well done and we enjoyed it. Lots of Parking. Decent prices.They work hard to please the clients and so they come back to see another show.Very comfy seating and very clean and well done as a nice showplace. If you have a chance go and have a nice time. Near rt 95 and on Jefferson Blvd. easy on and off as well. Enjoy

We saw Dial M for Murder and it was terrific. We have season tickets and we just live this venue. Very easy to access and the shows are as good as any downtown.

I went for a show and dinner and it had 3 shows in 1. I liked the price too. I disliked the distance from my house but it was a nice day so it was soo worth the trip!

We have seen two productions at this theater and there is not a bad seat in the house. Both productions were first class (King and I and My Fair Lady) and the music was amazing. The staff were courteous and professional. We will be glad to attend other performances and are looking forward to going again.

Ocean State Theatre Company offers top quality theater in a venue small enough so that everyone has a great seat. With onsite free parking and easy access to 95, it's a great place to take those who have physical challenges. They even provide railings in the entry ways to help those who have mobility issues. We saw "My Fair Lady" and the acting, singing, and dancing were first rate. A little slice of Broadway in beautiful little Rhode Island. Worth a visit!

This place is a welcome change from Trinity Rep which is fantastic however we needed a change. Ocean State Theatre Company provides that change and does it well.Find a performance and subject matter that you like and give it a try. The best entertainment bang for the buck in the area.

This is a great place to see a play or musical. The seating is Stadium style, so you don't have to worry about anyone in front of you blocking your view. There isn't a bad seat in the house. We have seen many of their productions since they opened and all have been first class. The latest being My Fair Lady, which they did a wonderful job at half the price of Broadway.

The performers are extremely talented and the auditorium is perfect. You will be happy that you went...and, wonder why you didn't go before. How nice to have plenty of free parking, too!If you can, go on a night when they have the after-show Piano Bar. Great fun.We will definitely return.
