We have had a great deal of fun at this par 3. It is never really crowded but there is always someone on the coarse. It is not too pricey and the owner is a hoot.
We found this place on a driving trip through New England by googling par 3's and are we ever glad we did. Golfed here just a few days before they were closing for the season so mostly had the course to ourselves and had a lovely day. Nicest par 3 we've seen in a long time, very friendly staff/owners. Did not have the opportunity to sample the restaurant so can't comment there, but the golf experience was really great.
Finding the place is a challenge, but once there you are in for a pleasant surprise. Greens are quite true, but of course small targets since you are hitting mostly wedges off the tee. The price is great in this day and age and for the most part all you hear are birds and an occasional delete expletive from a golfer who just hit his or her shot into a pond.
Fun Par 3 9 hole course. Very Well maintained with a friendly staff. Also good Blueberries along the way.
Hated the wait. Seems extreme for breakfast. nice setting, but will not go back as the people waiting all looked like they were disgruntled. I have tried to go all different times and have always ended of leaving. Something should have been done after all these years to accommodate better seating availability,.My time was 45 min (for and egg)????
We arrived at the driving range at 7:30. The restaurant does not open until 8am so we hit a couple of balls. We met Jim. Jim is the developer of this property, he's a really nice guy. The price was good, $5.00 a bucket. The range accommodates six people. We were the only ones there this Saturday. By the time we got to the restaurant, there were nearly thirty people seated by 8:30. Get there before nine if you don't want to wait. The course was lots of fun! It is a Par 3. You should be able to shoot nine holes in an hour and a half. It was somewhat congested today but the waits to tee off were no longer than about 8 minutes. We will come back regularly to this course.
Everything is fresh and delicious I am a local and have been going here for over 6 years now. Never have I been disappointed here. I have tried almost everything and its been good. The lunch and dinners here are also very good, but the breakfast is by far the best! It is located on the grounds of a par three golf course and you can see the blueberry bushes on the course which is where they get them from. My favorite dish there is the eggs benedict, but other people always get the french toast. You really can never order something here that you wouldn't like. Its off the beaten path, but well worth traveling to.
If you are looking for a relaxed place to shoot a fast 9 holes, and then have a delicious lunch, this is the place to go. The course has good challenges for a short course. The lunch is terrific. If you don't gold and are just hungry, go on up, it's definitely worth it.
I like this little par 3 course. I am not a good golf. So this is a nice little par 3 course to go and practice on.
Great course for all ability levels. No hole is more than 120 yards, so every hole is manageable, even for beginners. That said, strategically placed trees/bunkers/water require more experienced players to hit different shots on every hole. No question the majestic 7th is the signature hole on the course. At only 65 yards, it calls for a precise first shot as water carefully guards the back of the green in addition to a false front which, if left short, will require a delicate chip to save par. Greens fees are reasonable at only $15 per round with $8 replays. My only suggestion would be for a play all day rate, because I could easily play 7 rounds a day at this course. Don't forget to stop by the Cafe for lunch after your round. You won't be disappointed.
Friends placed golf and said it was a great course. Some holes more challenging than others but I don't play golf so I only have their word. The restaurant is a great place to go for breakfast and lunch. Did go for lunch with a group of ladies for an exceptional meal. Served in a timely manner and everything was delicious! Look forward to going there this summer. Very enjoyable place.
We stayed for a week at The Tallwood Motel, a mile away. We golfed alot here during the week. We loved it. We never ate there but next year we plan to. You should have more advertisements and information at the The Tallwood Motel at the bottom of Coles Hill Road. Passes? We plan on coming up next year with friends. We will stay at the Tallwood and golf here.
I was born and raised in Wells, Maine. I started playing golf about five years ago and was able to become very good by playing a lot at Merriland Farms. I have played the course now over fifty times. Its a beautiful course with some challenging holes. They range from distances of about 65 yards to 120 yards. Great for practicing with your nine iron or wedges. Course is well maintained and there usually is no wait. I love playing at Merriland Farms because its a place where you can go play a hour long game if you don't have time to play a full 18 hole course and its great if you want to bring friends who are less experienced.
this is a par 3 course and great to practice your short game. it is kept up very well and there's a driving range right next door. in addition, next door to that, the family that owns the golf course has a restaurant that has fabulous breakfasts, great lunches and good dinner served. I totally recommend it!
My husband is an avid golfer, but I am still a beginner, so this nine-hole Par 3 course provided an opportunity for us to spend time enjoying one of his favorite activities without totally frustrating me. We played on a Wednesday morning in July; arrived around 9:30 a.m. and had about a 20 minute wait for a tee time. I don't know if it is always this busy or not, but that morning it appeared to be a pretty popular place! Once we teed off, it took about an hour and 15 minutes for us to play all nine holes. The grounds were very nicely landscaped and the cost to play was reasonable. We have been vacationing in Wells Beach, Maine for the past few summers and anticipate returning annually. Playing golf at Merriland Farms will definitely be on our list of things to do each time we return.
