There is SO much to do at Aquaboggan but the prices for the entire day ticket is a little ridiculous! We still paid the price and had tons of fun but I think Aquaboggan would get more business if they were more economy based priced. They also, haven't updated any of the rides in forever, its the same rides I rode as a kid (which is fine) but thats what make prices raise, new attractions. So in my mind, they are just raising prices to make more money, when in reality they should renovate some.
We went down some of the big water slides, and also the wave pool. My daughter had a great time here, and it was 10 minutes from the hotel.
We vacation in Maine with our extended family often and come here every time . This is a small water park but big enough to be lots of fun. Seniors citizens get in for only 10.00 -guess they think we seniors won't be sliding much. I think I used the slides as much as my grand kids! Another plus is that even though they have a good snack bar, you can bring in coolers and food. Great if you're trying to save a few bucks- just watch out for seagulls if you leave out any food!.
Surprised when pulling into the lot with kids - doesn't look like the park has been updated in 20+ years when I came here as a kid. No new attractions added in many years. That said, the admission was a bargain - $20 for all pools, slides and mini-golf. $30 if you wanted to add some gokart and bumper boat rides. With Splashtown down the street with more modern rides, the crowds were there - never a wait longer than 3-4 minutes for a slide at Aquaboggan which is great for younger, impatient kids.6 slides, a toddler area and a wave pool are the main attractions. The three mat slides are the most thrilling rides. Food and gift shop is reasonably priced. Big bonus is the large number of picnic tables placed around the part and shaded that allow you to claim a spot, and leave your stuff, included outside food in a cooler. For the most part well staffed - though did watch one lifeguard leave his post, go out of side of slide pool and flirt with girl at food stand. In sum, we'll be back - kids loved it but needs some updating soon over the next few years or will be obsolete.
I try to go every Monday to take advantage of their $12 admission. Totally worth the price, very relaxing, hardly any waits to go on the slides. Mini golf is free with admission which is a nice bonus. Food however is very expensive, your best bet is to pack some sandwiches in your cooler.
We enjoyed our visit to Aquaboggan. It has many attractions for families with young kids and teens alike. The wave pool is fantastic! Wear water shoes as the concrete around the park can be hard on feet.
Great water park. Fun and daring slides for older kids...small slides and toddler area for the little ones. We went on $12 Mondays and what a deal! $12 included a ton to do in the park including mini-golf. You can bring your own cooler with lunch if you want to save a few more bucks but they have a good food area with many choices at decent prices. Only downside is that not all attractions are included in the basic admission price. You have to pay extra for paddleboats and waterboats. But overall, I highly recommend it and we will come back again.
My son loved this place. Its just the right size. Your kid can go from one place to the next without losing them. Lines aren't long. Great family day place!
Don't know wether they still own it but I know they manage it now.The reason is they are the best and nobody does it better. You can be assured the value and quality is spot on.This family only knows one way the right way so if your a mom who cares about safety and cleanliness...basically the wellbeing of your kids....this is the place to have a good day.
Aquaboggan Water Park was a must visit when we vacationed in Maine. It was a family affair. Kids running wild from ride to ride, parents trying to keep track of 11 kids going in 11 directions. Two grandparents sitting in the shade watching with smiles, knowing that they we're close to the restrooms and not expected to be sheriff of crazy town. On this visit we were the grandparents. The park is worn but in good shape. When our grandkids were asked what the liked the best about their vacation in Maine, they all chose the water park. This time around they had a wrist band for just watching which wasn't the case about 30 years ago. $10. You can still bring your coolers which saves a ton of money. Lots of shade and plenty of picnic tables to pile your stuff. All in all it was worth the money. Would do it again.
This place was a quick hop from Old Orchard and, while not huge, had plenty to keep my per-teens occupied for more than four hours. The price is excellent (admission on Mondays is a mere $12 and keep your eyes open for great Groupon/Living Socials deals if you can't make it on a Monday). Even with a huge (several bus loads) group of kids from a nearby day camp, the lines moved fairly quickly for all of the attractions. I was really impressed with the food there as well. Not ridiculously priced like some of the bigger parks and it was fresh and very tasty (especially the chicken burgers). The staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved it!
We've gone to Aquaboggin around a dozen times over the years. The pluses ; great toddler pool, a decent selection of slides given its size and a good wave pool. I also give kudos to the staff as they were quite friendly and good natured. The minuses ; very few actually. If you have food on your picnic table you'll need to guard it or a resident seagill will get a free lunch. The park is a bit outdated and could use a facelift, but the prices aren't that bad and we were able to entertain a family of ten for a bit over $200.00 which is good value. If we went down the road the cost would be quite a bit more. Nice place, decent atmosphere and relatively short waiting lines. We'll be back.
This place was great to take our kids too. It wasn't too busy so we barely had to wait in any line-ups. The wave pool was fun and the slides were too, just not too many to choose from. It was a great way spend the afternoon cooling off.
We visited this park on a Monday when admission was $12 per person. I'm not sure what the usual Monday crowd is, but the day was a little cloudy, so the park wasn't busy at all. We didn't have much of a wait for any slide. The park was clean. We didn't try any of the food there, as they allow outside food. The only criticism I would have is that the staff is all teens and they aren't always very attentive. If you have young children, make sure you aren't relying on staff to watch them. The park doesn't have a lot of thrills, but is a fantastic option for a family day. Living in the seacoast region of NH, this is a way better choice than the expensive and crowded Water Country or overpriced Liquid Planet.
This was a great way to spend most of a day. The lines were not long and there were plenty of slides to keep everyone happy. Lots to do for kids of all ages.
