An ASTOUNDING collection of everything Adirondack! Best selection of ADK books covering topics from history, to adventuring, maps, charts, children's books and more. One could easily spend an hour or two looking through just the book collection. The store does have traditional crafts, clothing and food from the area, but few bargains can be found. Still, when you need that special something that screams i've been to the Adirondack Park, or Long Lake, this is the place to visit!

Hoss's Country Corner is a spot in the middle of Long Lake where Hoss has set up shop(s) for the visitors and local folks alike. In case you don't know Hoss or haven't met him, he is more than just a businessman. He is a citizen-patriot, a friend, and a truly concerned patron of the town. He genuinely cares that he is taking care of your needs, and his service to the community reflects in everything he does.The "Country Corner" itself consists of a wonderful country store, an ice cream stand, and even a mini-golf course (which I've never played). The country store is two floors of pure Adirondack pleasure, and sells books, fishing equipment, ornaments, and everything else you'd expect to see in a rustic-style store. He has several children and family members in the business, all of whom contribute to the overall family-style way that the place is run. Across the street, Hoss runs an ice cream stand where the ice cream flavors are fantastic and the summer days get even better.By the way, Hoss also sponsors the best book show in the entire Adirondack Park every summer, with about 80 authors all appearing under the same tent. The event takes place on the second Tuesday of every August, from 7-9 PM. It is a fantastic time and draws some impressive-sized crowds.I urge ANYONE in the Adirondacks to stop by Hoss's for a true Adirondack experience you will not forget. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

I loved all of the adirondack-style furnishings, books, clothing, etc. There was something of interest in every nook and cranny!
