Mount Beacon offers tremendous views of the Hudson Valley for those who can brave the steep incline of the casino trail. Don't be daunted ! This climb may be challenging for novice hikers, but before long (about 1 hour reasonable pace with stops) you'll be treated to one of the best views around with the Hudson River opening up before you and revealing the beauty of this area. After you reach the casino I recommend to keep going another EASY 25 minutes to the fire tower, where on a clear day you can see all the way to the Manhattan skyline to your South.

I've found a few trails on Beacon Mountain where you can strip down and enjoy nature in the buff. You will need to look for unmarked trails and keep an eye out for other hikers as the attraction can draw a decent crowd on a warm day. The farther up you go, the easier it becomes to be alone. Most people turn back at the abandoned hotel so I would definitely suggest going past that site before considering stripping. I would not suggest full-on naked hiking but you should be able to find an overlook small clearing where you can remove your clothes, enjoy the breeze, and no one will bother you.NOTE: Nudity is not sanctioned here so practice at your own risk. Women can go topless as it is legal to do so in New York State.
