Where to start......We went for a friends birthday bowling party. She had called to make a reservation 1 week prior. When we got there we were told they would be closing due to having inspections. They have 45 lanes. Which I think is a pretty big bowling center. While we were their a league was having their league night. We were allowed two lanes for 20 people. We were only able to complete one game during that time due to having two lanes. Plus there were no other customers bowling that were not on the league.The food service was awful. It was not because of the servers either. She was doing the best she could do given the circumstances. It is a good things it was a Sunday with only one league and our group. They only had on person scheduled to handle the food service. It took twice as long to get out the orders and to serve drinks. The person I believe to be the manager stepped in to help with food, but got the orders mixed up. I got my food after people who ordered 30 minutes after I did. I was standing at the food bar when she put the pizza's in and did not ask the person assigned to the counter if there were orders before that one. The manager did not attempt to communicate with the server to see where she needed to step in. She just made assumptions. Plus as time progressed all of the staff that were working had to be pulled to the food service counter. This left the front counter open. Also when the person assigned to the food counter tried waving one of the other staff members down for assistance, they ignored her and went into an office behind the counter. Overall I found the staff to be borderline rude or at least over worked. This is a good example of how not to run a business. Especially one that is customer service oriented. I can say there are much better place to go bowling and the service is way better. If you have plenty of time and patience and don't mind wasting your money they would be a good place to visit for bowling.

We had a couple of hours between events while traveling in the area, so stopped in when we saw a special for $2 Tuesdays. Nowhere did it state that the special was only good after 8 p.m., so we ended up spending $70 for 3 games and shoe rentals for four people. Rip off!! The facility is nice, but these prices were ridiculous - and the staff was not forthcoming about how much it would be when they set us up to add games as we went. Not cool.

The Northglenn AMF is actually closer to us, but we've been there twice and had problems each time. We've been to Sonesta lanes in Thornton several times, and always had working lanes and good customer service. The staff has always been personable. The inside is updated and clean. Bathrooms clean and stocked. TIPS: - Check their website for specials. When we first started going, they had an all you can bowl special on Sundays. This summer, I signed my kids up for free bowling - 2 free games a day. We went about 3 times, and I was pleasantly surprised because they gave me a discounted rate.- The lighter balls (6 lbs) do get stuck often and won't return - they'll get caught in the back and just spin. But the score will register. So just have the kiddos use two balls. When the 2nd ball drops, they'll both return.- The food can be kind of slow. My daughter always wants a pretzel; we have to wait because they bake them! So they're slow, but toasty fresh out of the oven. The first time we went, we ordered sandwiches (wraps) and it took forever. But the food is good. So if you order food, order it way before you're starving. They have upgraded the facility with new tile, carpet, huge television screens, and cool lights that the kids love. Use coupons if you have them because bowling is not cheap anymore. My kids had a good time and the snacks were good and reasonably priced.
