This park not only has modern play and picnic areas, but a little stream runs through it that kids love to play in, and in the summer they run a petting zoo and train for a very low price. Parking can get tough on busy days. This is a very busy park for weekend picnics, but a great and affordable destination for a day of fun with little ones.
And little train ride for the kids.Visited with son's family. Nice playground, and pavillion for some birthday party we saw. Looks like a nice place to hangout and take a dog also,to romp near the foot deep moving creek. Think I saw a swimming pool, which was very crowded. The maybe $2 admission to see some farm animals was not a wallet breaker.
Although it was scorching hot on the day of our last visit, the immense and plentiful shady trees made it very pleasant. Our grandson enjoyed the train ride and rode it multiple times. The animals on display are NOT worth the admission.
The park is nicely maintained...grass is always cut and trash is always picked up. The ball fields are also in really good condition. There's a big playground for kids too. However, if you are looking to play tennis, these courts are in bad shape. Nets are full of holes, not to the proper tension and don't have the center straps. There are quite a few pits in the courts, too. But for some time on a ball machine, it's ok. Not good for practicing serves.
It is a wonderful park with plenty to do and plenty of space. We have the advantage that it is within walking distance of our home. Our grand-kids love to go here! Well worth the trip! Kids can play in the stream, there are playgrounds, picnic areas, walking and bike paths and huge open spaces. In the summer there is a train, petting zoo and the water park is right there too. One of the best parks in Denver Metro area in my opinion.
I take my little girls here every summer for the train and the petting zoo. They always have so much fun! When they get a little older we will stay and let them play in the stream.
The train ride and petting zoo are always a hit. But the creek is perfect for wading and crawdad catching. With lots of mature trees to offer shade, many picnic tables and pavilions, a huge playground and lots of grass space for umbrellas and picnic blankets. I did only give it 3 stars this time as the park needed a little up keep and we also found lots of trash.
Good area for gatherings. I have taken my kids there for years. It is now next to Pirate's Cove swimming pools. You will enjoy the park. I would let the kids ride on the train and they have an old airplane there. Infact we always have called it airplane park.
Great park with trees for shade (so hard to come by) and a stream to cool off hot feet in the summertime. From Memorial Day-Labor Day there is a terrific train that runs through the park and you can ride for $1. There's a petting zoo ($1) as well, so it's a kid's Heaven. Next door is Pirate's Cover swim center in case you want to splash in later. Across the street is a mini golf place with 2 separate layouts. Honestly, hard to leave that neck of the woods at the end of the day. So much to do!
I take my kids here every summer and they always love it. If you have kids under 12, you have to check this place out. Try to get there early before the parking lot fills up. The petting zoo and train are the right price, and always fun. The train driver is amazingly nice and always takes time for pics and questions.Bring the kids swimsuits and let them splash around in the little creek.
Nice place to spend some family time. The kids love it and there's even a little creek. Prices are reasonable. There are tennis courts btw and nice picnic area. The kids have plenty of activities so they can get busy for hours.
This is a great place to spend a day. There is a nice park with an airplane elevated. Children enjoy wading in a stream. There is even a petting zoo and train ride around the park for a nominal fee.
Great place to take little ones. Very reasonably priced. A train ride is about $1.50 a person, same with the petting zoo. Then play in the stream. Plan to bring a lunch. A favorite place for us to visit in the summer.
Belleview Park (once called Airplane Park because of a relic now fenced off) has a petting zoo, a small train to ride, a meandering stream and picnic facilities. Adjacent to Pirate's Cove water park.
The best place to take a family for a free day out. Beware as it does get busy but, you can always find a patch of grass to spread a blanket and enjoy a picnic. Be sure to bring some cash for the farm and train. Personally my kids enjoy fishing for crawdads the most and will spend all day wading in the refreashing water. They also have free concerts for families!
