We have seen Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I recently. When we were there on Friday night, we saw that Guy Lombardo's Royal Canadians would be there the next night and we quickly bought tickets! Not a bad seat in the house and always quality shows!
Crossville is very fortunate to have the playhouse. The selection and plays is excellent and the performance very professional
Very much family oriented shows, and reasonablly priced. Musicals are there speciality, With off Broadway shows in the fall
The Cumberland County Playhouse is not a "fancy" theater, in fact the seats are usually uncomfortable, but the productions rival any I've seen anywhere. The price is right, around $25.00 and the parking is free. I have paid WAY more and gotten WAY less.Anyone who comes to Crossville for any reason should include a performance at the Playhouse in their stay. If you don't you have missed one of the best attractions in the area.
The Cumberland County Playhouse is amazing for the size of Crossville and the surrounding area. There are usually several plays/musicals running simultaneously and the level of talent is outstanding. The price is so reasonable and the seats are all quite good.
Have been to the Cumberland County Playhouse several times now over the course of a few years. I never went while in high school, always thought that it would be boring and just not my thing. So I waited until I was well into my 30's before going the first time. Wished I hadn't have been so stubborn and closed minded. This is truly a talent and experience that everyone should try at least once. Then go ahead and be stubborn if you wish. I'll take your ticket.
Always an amazing combination of outside and local talent!!! Professionalism combined with southern hospitality is a must see.
This is a must do. The quality of these productions is awesome, way beyond what I would expect in a small city.
I definitely recommend the Cumberland County Playhouse to see a wide variety of shows with local talent at great prices. Definitely worth the drive from many locations.
Excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening. Top rate entertainment. Most enjoyable and you will want to come back again and again.
Performers, music, scenery all outstanding. Beats Broadway! We have seen many productions and they are all top-notch.
My husband and I were in Crossville, TN, and went to see "Scrooge" on the Main Stage of the Cumberland County Playhouse. I am always amazed how the quality of productions held there. They do amazing things with the small stage area they have to work with. Of course, most people have seen a Christmas Carole and have expectations of what the play should be, but Scrooge is based more along the lines of the movie that was out not to long ago, but it is very well done.
Scrooge was amazing! The playhouse never disappoints! I can't wait to see something else with my family!
We have seen 4 different plays and all have been excellent. All plays have a meaningful story that will make you laugh, make you think, make you feel your part of the story being told.Corryton, Tn
We enjoyed the concert. Mandy Barnett has an amazing voice but the sound system did not do her justice. It could have used a little more Christmas decorations cosidering it was her Christmas show and the only thing holiday was Mandy's top with the bows. It was very touching to see the hometown girl come home for a concert.
