dixie red hills golf course

Came down from SLC to do some Golfing on a road trip with a few of my friends. Nice greens and worm weather !! atleast alot wormer than the valley.

St George was already beautiful and we were treated to a free round of golf. The views were fantastic and the course was very enjoyable. It reminded us of Scottsdale, AZ We enjoyed the day of golf and food.

Really good golf course good place for peace and quite. Flesh smell deserts air but the price are high.

Staying in Mesquite, my wife and I ended up in St. George to play golf due to the outrageous green fees charged in Mesquite. Our first round was at this beautiful nine hole course. The fairways and greens were a pleasure to play and the landscape was as gorgeous as Sedona. What makes the condition even more amazing is it's a city run golf course. Not much of a pro shop and not much of a snack bar or grill but well worth the time to play.

My wife and I are NOT avid golfers. However we love visiting this course each year for the beautiful views and the relaxed feel.

Nine hole golf course - considered one of the best in the area. Friendly staff. Plenty of room and it didn't feel too crowded. Prices were fair.

It's a nice golf course. The setting is the best part. Greens can be a little rough. Decent staff at Pro Shop.

It was a neat little course. Kind of a funny layout. For a quick 9 it is a fun challenge. Hard to tell where to layup. Wrapping around in the canyon was cool.

I do not mind the course itself, for a nine hole course it has some fun holes nothing extreme, but ok. But i have golfed here for 20 years and never have a I walked out of the club house with a smile on my face, the staff and the pro are not very friendly.

Wife and I really enjoyed the beautiful weather this morning on the 9 hole course. Yep, it's a little rough in places but it is a fun place to play. Some challenging holes and some pretty easy but that is what we were looking for. Our last day in St. George or we would probably go back. Not a course recommended for the grip it and rip it crowd. More of "placement" golf course.

Great 9 hole course tucked in some beautiful scenery, plenty of challenges to make it enjoyable for anyone. One of my favorite spots in st George for a quick round.

I belong to a 9-hole women's league at Dixie Red Hills. We have 139 members--biggest league in town by far. This is a wonderful little course with magnificent scenery. Allen Orchard is the Pro, and he is just super and very accommodating to us ladies. The bad news is that DRH is the poor stepchild in St. George but probably draws a great deal of money. The clubhouse is an old A-frame, and the upstairs (where we used to hold our meetings) has been condemned for several years--with no new clubhouse in the offing. This fact is the reason I didn't give the course a 5-star rating. We meet in the parking lot on Thursdays for our meeting. That being said, if you haven't tried this course, do so.

If you're looking for an easy, scenic, fun little course, then Dixie Red Hills is for you. It's not fancy, and it's only nine holes, but it's in decent shape and has a fun layout and nice scenery. Good for a quick round.

Basic course----good for a quick round and good for young golfers. It's an older course but they keep it in good shape. There's not much to it, but it's located within some beautiful landscape.

I've lived here almost 4 years and play 3X a week with a 5 hdcp and finally played Red Hills. (Full disclosure - it was hot and humid the day we played, and that may factor into my impression.)This is the first course in St George, and they apparently haven't done much to upgrade it. The holes are forgettable with no views, and the course itself was in only fair condition. The greens were so soft that every approach shot imbedded in its mark - I mean really imbed, like half the ball under ground.There are a lot of couples who use the course, and many of them are older and slow. (I'm older too, but not slow.) The course has no dress code and so you'll see all kinds of outfits you would never see on a nicer course. In fact you probably wouldn't see some of them at a bowling alley.I hate to sound snobbish as I think there needs to be courses like this for beginners and for people who wake up and decide today is the day they are going to try golf for the first time. If you are at least a semi-serious golfer, you would be better served trying one of the other city courses. Or if you're here during off season go to The Ledges. Best views on any course in Utah.
