Visiting the Grand Canyon has been on our list for a while, and when an opportunity came up to visit this December we wanted to make the most of a few days there. Dallin made sure that this long anticipated trip was perfect in every way, from a hike down to plateau point for lunch with the most stunning view to the Colorado river to a scramble down to Haversupai falls that I would never have had the courage to try alone. We really appreciated his knowledge and feeling for the country, and his company on what was a simply wonderful trip.
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We do listen and care about each customer and appreciate honest feedback. Though we respect your perspective, I wish you would have been a little more forthright about my efforts to help you. For instance, September 28th is a Sunday and we were closed. Our sign was clearly displayed on our storefront indicating we would return at 9:00am Monday morning which we did. I make it a point that even when we are closed, to leave my cell number in case I can still help visitors in need. When I received your text at 10am, I promptly responded offering to meet you at our store if you could just give me a time. Your response at 10:15am indicated you didn’t know a time but that you would get back to me. I missed your 2pm text but when I saw it that evening I again offered to meet you anytime at your convenience and I tried to reach you by phone. We are a small family business and will always do our best to serve those coming into the region who simply want information, a rental, or a tour. We love the region and are passionate about doing our best to share this love with others. I’m sorry we were unable to serve you and your wife. I hope your trip was wonderful and I encourage everyone to contact us in advance to get info or make reservations to avoid these kinds of experiences in the future.
Many thanks to Dallin and Keith for teaching our family or four to climb rocks, rappel, and drive the RZR! My husband, two teenaged daughters, and I loved spending the day at Arch Canyon! We even got to explore some Ancestral Puebloan ruins from long ago. I would highly recommend Four Corners Adventures. It's the best thing about Blanding!
This was surprise stop on our 10-day 4-corner west tour. It was a new thing for sons and did not want pre-angst. So we threw them into it, and it started w a 50-foot repel. They took to it like champs due to great host Jared -- a teacher to the core. 2 hours later they walked out the canyon young men. Even brought tears to mom. We did/saw/touched some 300 things in 10 days -- and the boys rank their morning w Jared as their best. He autographed their canyon rocks which are now in their rooms among other prized life tokens. When I signed up for just a morning, he said "u'll wish u did a whole day."It was the only time he was wrong. The boys wanted 2 days.
We just spent 4 days with Four Corners Adventures. We had 11 total in our group, which included 7 between the ages of 16-18 and then 4 adults. Every activity exceeded my expectations. We hiked to Anasazi ruins, floated down the San Juan River on SUPs and kayaks, hiked to locations of agent wall art and dinosaur ruins, spent a half day mountain biking, had an incredible canyoneering experience (slot canyon hiking, repelling down a crevice into a pool of water and having swim through pools to exit, etc.), and a day of four wheel driving through and amazing canyon. They were able to customize the activities to meet our abilities. We also stayed in their loft, which was comfortable and clean, and had a full kitchen that we used when we were not on activities. It really was a super week filled with adventure.
We ran the San Juan River in Early May and used 4-Corners for a pickup shuttle. We also rented Mt bikes from them the following day for a 1-day ride up Abajo Peak. Jared and company are awesome. They showed up to the pick-up early, and were able to modify the time when we called them from Mexican Hat after we realized we were going to finish a day early. They have a great knowledge of the area. Jared is smart, helpful and personable, and reasonably priced to boot. He provided great advice about the area, and what activity options were. We rented a canoe for the run elsewhere, but found out that Jared just purchased a set of 5 Wenonah canoes. We will rent a canoe from 4-corners next time we go.We were extremely pleased with our entire experience with 4-corners!
18 of us went down river for the day from sand landing to Mexican Hat. We were on a tour. I was so impressed by this company! They really walk the green talk besides giving,us,a grand day on,the, river. A great Lunch was prepared for us. They insisted we wash our hands before eating. They even has dairy free and gluten free foods. There was no,throw away stuff. plastic plates, and utensils were provided and they took, them back to be washed. They requested us not to leave a crumb for critters to spoil the ecology of the lunch location spot. We were, requested to bring our own water bottles. They had large coolers,of water from which we refilled our own, reducing plastic bottle throw away stream.,they provided cups, for, those who, forgot their, own water bottles. At,the end of,the day the owner even went way out of his way to retrieve my sweatshirt I left on the transportation van. I highly recommend these guys. Just, first, rate!!Please excuse typos, typing on iPad.
Took a half-day "Canyoneering 101" tour with Four Corners Adventures and it was a highlight of my stay in Bluff. Their boat trip down San Juan river would have been great, too, but we were hit by rain and sudden temperature drop, so my impressions are skewed. Canyoneering with Jared was just a right mixture of fright and dare. Great way to challenge whatever acro- and claustrophobia one might have. But since we rapelled into the canyon in the very beginning, once the rope came down you know that there is no way back, so you squeeze through very tight spaces and learn about points of support on your body you never knew existed. The rain that wet us the day before left pools of water that were sometimes chest deep so prepare to get wet but it is part of the fun (waterproof bags are provided). After each obstacle you look at it from below and think that it was not that bad.... until a new one comes up and you look down and wonder "How will I ever get through THIS!?" But Jared (he has a degree in Education!) is there for you and his tactful support and encouragement keep you in check and keep you going. Awesome adventure!
Dallin was great to work with. We had two families that rented 2 jeeps. We had 7 kids between the families and asked for some trails that would be fun for adults and kids. The trails they recommended were perfect. We were worried that we would go to trails that we could ride in our own vehicles. This was definitely an offroad experience we couldn't do in our own cars. We had a great time.
I have to agree with the many positives reviews of this establishment. In August I rented a Jeep for a handful of days to tour the area. I had done my homework, and new where I was headed (and succeeded)- but even with that foreknowledge, I was very impressed with the customer service here. Everything was ready to go when I arrived, Dallin was very helpful and more than willing to go over any questions and to discuss the aspects of my trip with me, and to smooth over any problems that might arise (none occurred). This is exactly the kind of person you would want to be able to turn to for advise or help if needed. The people here were polite, very well educated about all sorts of 4-Corner arcana, and had a great sense of humor - always a plus. All electronic communications before, during and after my visit were clear and prompt. I rate this business very highly and recommend it unreservedly.
We used their guide service for part of the day in order to become familiar with the area. Dallin was our guide and took us to two separate ruin sites as well as provided a very tasty lunch. Dallin and his wife Cassidy are very personable and provided excellent service to us.Once we were done with the guide part, we then rented a jeep from them for a day and a half. Dallin patiently spent time with me going over topo maps for the area so that we knew where to go. I would suggest that anyone doing any sort of exploring of this area do the same. It's a great way to get to know the area without wasting a lot of your time.Dallin and I had many very enjoyable conversations about all sorts of things. One small caveat- we did rent one of their jeeps and I felt that it perhaps wasn't set up as well for highway driving as it was for off-roading. I did keep my speed down to 50mph in order to feel safe due to the propensity to have too much roll action. That might be something you may want to look into if you rent a jeep.Nonetheless, these are great people who go way out of their way to provide very personable service and I recommend them very highly. I look forward to getting back to this beautiful area soon and will use their services again.
My sister and I were meeting in Bluff for some local, National Park crawling, when 'The Shutdown' occurred. We had a one day jeep tour to some ruins already booked, so were at loose end for a day. Cassidy Tait, from Four Corners Adventures took the trouble to hook us up with some self guided sightseeing in the area. She was spot-on! Had a wonderful day in Valley of the Gods, Moki-Dugway and Muley Point. The next day Dallin Tait took us on a day long, jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, mind-warping adventure. I really cannot say enough about these two, nor the Cedar Mesa area where they run their adventures. If you're not calling them RIGHT THIS MINUTE to set something up, you're missing out on one of the great American adventures.
These guys are great!! I was put in touch w/ Four Corners after countless hours searching for kayak rentals close to North Lake Powell and the outfitter was crucial to the amazing trip my friends and I had. Dallin was more than accommodating answering the numerous questions we had leading up to the trip from transportation, gear to bring, planning for weather. They were short 2 kayaks for our group of 4 but went out and 2 more to accommodate us!Every question we threw at him was returned with a quick and detailed response. The kayaks we rented worked out tremendously and the recommendations of landmarks on the lake were amazing. I would without a doubt send anyone looking to explore that area in to see Four Corners.
I'd have no hesitation recommending this excellent company. I nearly went on Trip Advisor to recommend them even before my trip as they were all so helpful with my questions about tours and their 4WD vehicles, and their efficiency and speed in replying over the phone and internet. I went on their trip to the Black Hole which started off with amazing scenery and just got better and better all the way to the end. As long as you are quite adventurous and don't mind a bit of swimming and the odd scramble that their guides help you with, it's one not to miss. One of my all time favorites. Dallin and Talon were great guides and i felt totally safe in their hands and the lunch was plentiful, with a cool water melon waiting at the end of the hike. Their 4WD, Lake Powell, and ruins adventures also sounded great but unfortunately we didn't have time for everything. Ross UK "
We planned to explore The Maze, Canyonlands for some days during our vacation. Four Corners turned this into an unforgettable event.Flying in from Germany we did not want to bring any camping gear and also did not know the sourrounding area well. Jared, Four Corners' owner selected a location near the National Park and brought everything with him that we needed (...and additional comfort on top). The location was truely amazing - there was only us and the view on a canyon. Canyonlands provided a very scenic background, rabbits and a kangoroo mouse the entertainment. We had a tent on a plateau, a big gas grill, comfy camping chairs at the table, cots for the tent and great meals. We only had to sit back and enjoy the scenery while Jared demonstrated what you can cook outdoors. Steaks, potatoes and veggies in the evening and in the morning we were surprised with pancakes, bacon and hash browns. At night we had a great view at the stars since we did not need the outer fly of the tent and in the morning we saw the sun rise of the canyon. We were really looking forward to this couple of days and had high expectations - they were exceeded by far!For the rest of our stay in the region Jared gave us recommendations for some beautiful excursions. We will go back to him any time when we are back to this part of the US.Sandra & Christoph, GermanyDeutsche Version:Camping in der Einsamkeit - mit tollem Service! Sandra & Christoph, Deutschland
