This place is great. Lots of pools of various temperatures. Family friendly. Clean and hygienic. Nice changing room accommodations.
Like a community hot tub. Variety of depths and temperatures. Just grab a towel and a bottle of water. You WILL get thirsty! Interesting place, worth a try.
Big pool is quite hot, very relaxing. The water does not have high sulfer content so it doesn't smell. Several smaller pools are cooler and one is hot, hot, hot. It was crowded but didn't feel too congested. The changing room is ok, nothing special. Fun to soak, relax, talk with friends, people watch.
Loved the pools, wish there were more restaurants and gift shops. We lived the museum and trading list. Wagon Wheel had excellent homemade pies, too.
We were in town with some friends on a retreat weekend. The hot springs pool was a part of this retreat. I had a wonderful massage on my second day there. The facilities at the pool were adequate...showers could use an upgrading. Overall a very pleasant experience.
This is a must. So wonderful. We never miss a chance to go and enjoy the pools. We like going and getting a massage first and then sitting in the bubble pool and continuing the relaxation of our muscles. Then finishing it off with a long time in the coolest pool visiting. Don't misss this amazing place. We LOVE it in the winter!
I loved the hot water, and various pools. We just carried our towels out with us and hung them on the rail, though for .50 you can get a locker if you have valuables. The dressing rooms are adequate. There is nothing else really to do besides sit there and relax and talk. Even though it was a cold day, you stay plenty warm sitting in the water. There were hotter pools, and some less hot. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and is was very pleasant with a lot of families and couples. We enjoyed it so much, we returned later that evening and it was packed. Not nearly as enjoyable because there were a lot of groups of men and women, not couples, and we were exposed to a lot of vulgar and offensive language. Not romantic in any way. Maybe next time we will go during mid-week to avoid that kind of crowd.
Loved it at night in the winter. The steam from the hot water creates a shroud around everyone making it seem very intimate even in a large crowd.
Came up for the weekend with my girlfriend and the first night we came to the pools we dove, well inched our way into the hotest pool first because it seemed to be less crowded. It was very hot but once we got used to it it felt amazing. This place is the main attraction in the town so expect a crowd and reserve your hotel in advance if you stay the night or you will be stuck with a dumpy hotel room if one at all.
Our first visit to the Hot Pools was great. It was better than expected. We liked the varying temperatures of the pools and the facility. Will come back.
$5.50 will get you an all day soak during week days! Facility very clean and laid out well with lots of variety in pool temps and style. Worth the trip!
It was clean, there are multiple pools with different temperatures. Several of the pools have awnings which were nice however when sitting on the benches in the springs the awnings dripped (it was snowing) which gave a chill with each drop. It would also be nice if there were an adults only pool.
What a fabulous find! This place is just great for a stopover with all the benefits of the natural hot springs. This facility is really clean and well run. The lava rock on the bottom of the pools is quite nice. I will say that most of the fun is had tubing down the river multiple times. There are tubing outfits all along the main road and it's quite a fun ride! You are sure to get bounced around a bit and possibly even thrown off! The hot tub areas of the river are a real treat too!
These are clean, hot, beautiful pools. I like the pebbles on the bottom of the pools and the overhead shading. Nice dressing rooms...I highly recommend.
This stop was almost by accident. We had changed our plans somewhat and found we needed a place to stay in logan Utah. These hot springs were on the way and we had a couple of hours to investigate. The place is wonderful! The entrance fee was $10. There are changing rooms and plenty of free parking. The day we were there, we parked on the street right next to the entrance. There is a great little park just east that shares a property line with the pools. It is like a small crater that is full of flowers and trails. The park entrance is free. If you go into the park first, you can see the hot pools from the trails and then decide if you want to pay the entrance fee to the springs. The pool that you see from the park is the hottest of the pools, AND IT IS HOT! The next pool is slightly cooler, and the pool farthest west is the coolest, and the one most people use. It is also covered. The grounds of Lava Hot Springs are full of foliage and flowers. The springs are surrounded by mountains. There are many lounge chairs to enjoy when you are not in the pools. The place is truly a fantastic place to relax from your travels. The couple of hours we had to spare quickly turned into 4 plus and if we had not changed our plans, we would have totally missed this place. Our vacation is 6 weeks behind us, and I find myself thinking about this place more than some of the other places we visited.
