My husband's family is from New Hampshire but our 11 year old boy has grown up in South Carolina. Our son liked a film he saw about a New England school so we decided to visit this iconic campus. We had a wonderful tour with a friendly student and accommodating admissions staff. It was actually incredibly HOT that day and the student kept apologizing for not having a golf cart that was promised him (I think I looked like I was ready to expire). We bought lots of Exeter logo stuff at the campus store and at the end of our visit my son said, "Mom, I want to go here." Inspired, a rare experience in education today, we are planning a term for him like Access Exeter...I hope he stays motivated since we feel a summer there would be a defining experience and bring him closer to the best of his New England heritage.

We were given a student led tour and were very impressed with the academic buildings. Exeter is a top notch institution. The dining hall smelled so good we wanted to eat there, but left to have lunch off campus.

campus is near the Inn at the bandstand, met very friendly people on campus and had many nice walks there.

We ate in this restaurant located in Exeter, New Hampshire, and is was an excellent meal. We were in a small room in a typical New England atmosphere that wreaked of history. Free oatmeal raisin cookies greeted you as you walked into your dining room and before placing your order. The salmon selection was excellent and they also had lovely steak and chicken. The boarding school is well renowned and getting national clients at Exeter.

The historic town of Exeter is perfect for shopping, eating lunch and dinner and stopping off for coffee and ice cream . Take a stroll around Philips Exeter Campus, admire the architecture and grounds. A walk along the river and through the Academy walking trails in the woods is a great way to spend a couple of hours, bring your bicycles and kayaks to spend a day in the great outdoors.

Phillips Exeter Academy is an institution that you should take some time to visit if you are able to do so. The historic buildings will amaze you with their incredible architecture. As you walk along the campus and throughout the buildings, you'll immerse yourself in some deep history that goes back farther than the days of Abraham Lincoln. New England is filled with tons of history from the early settlers, and much of it occurred at the Academy. Take the time to experience PEA.

The admissions staff, which we recently visited, were amazing and genuinely concerned about my sons future. This school is tremendous and well worth a look.

The campus of Exeter is extraordinary. The mix of contemporary, classical and colonial architecture blends beautiful with the landscape. Don't miss visiting, the theater, the science building, the gym, the assembly hall in the Academy building, and the library.

An absolutely gorgeous school that is a must see if you ever go near Exeter. It is more beautiful than some of the college campuses I've seen. The people are really nice and are always willing to help you.

A child of mine completed four years here and is poised, articulate and embraces science and mathematic challenges. She and her gal pals still keep in touch and they are all seeking to become our next generation of leaders. Its not gfor everyone but the school is generoous and concilatory wwhen it comes to financial aid.

My granddaughter was interviewing at the academy. I thought it was a great school and that it had wonderful support from the staff and students when she was interviewing.

Academics - not to be beaten. The harkness system (8-10 students around a harkness table) encourages individual interaction and discussion. Opportunities are incredible and will carry a student through their lives. The grounds are beautiful to explore - from the Academy building, the Quad or down to the river.

Awesome area to visit with Phillips Exeter Academy being world class, Portsmouth being an incredible, fun, alive, walking seaport town with lots of students, Hampton Beach for concerts/deep sea fishing/restaurants and Newburyport, MA for shopping.
