My friend and I made Red wine (Malbac) last June, 2013 it sat in a barrel for a year. June,2014 we were so excited this was our first time making wine. we went and bottled it in the wine cellar. it tasted great. the next day we opened a bottle both my friend and I separate times not knowing . and our wine tasted like red wine vinegar and the smell is worst. we both called the wine maker cellar multiple times and left messages. and after a week or so the woman that works there name LINDA called me back and was trying to accuse me storing my wine improperly she said where did you store it did you leave it in your hot car. I got so mad i said don't try and make excuses for this horrible wine. she then went on to say oh yeah well i have to speak to FRANK the owner (which by the way is a really nice guy) she said you know he has a separate job you'll have to bring a bottle here for him to taste i said OK that's no problem she said she would call me back after she spoke to him to make a date and time to come down with our wine for him to taste well this was on July 7th, that i spoke to her and today is July 13th she still didn't return my call or call me back to come to speak to frank and I sent them an e-mail and left a voice mails again and still no answer. so OK we are screwed i cant stress enough don't spend your money in this place they are not reliable and there wine is HORRIBLE TASTING AND SMELLING!!!!!!!!

I have been making wine for the past 8 years with friends and really enjoy the whole experience. We made it in 2 other places and now we found The Winemakers Cellar.. Glad we did.. This is how it works. You go there several times throughout the process. First you go to taste the wines that they have available to make, then after you choose your wine you make an appointment to then crush the grapes, then you return after about 10-14 days and press the grapes which is then pumped into the barrel. Then about 5 months later you return to "rack" the wine. This process means you will pump the wine out of the barrel and then clean the barrel out which gets all the sediment that settled to the bottom out of the barrel. You then pump the wine back into the barrel. You can use their barrels or buy your own. You can do a one year wine or a 2 year reserve. Then after your wine is ready you return one more time to bottle your wine. You can choose your one of their labels with your name and pictures or you can provide your own labels. This place has more of a personal feel than the other places we tried. The people here are friendlier and also take time to make accurate measurements and add the appropriate yeast, etc. They really walk you through the process very nicely and you learn a lot about winemaking...Every time you visit they always open a bottle of wine for you to enjoy. They also encourage you to bring sandwiches, pizza, desserts, whatever you want to enjoy your time there with your friends. They also have events throughout the year and they provide snacks as well. If you like wine and wanted to make your own but always thought that it was hassle, well take my advice and go here. They have all the necessary equipment and you get to meet new people, taste great wines and enjoy being part of the process. Their prices are very good as well. Check out their website for upcoming events. I know they will have one coming up in August I believe. I'll post it when I know for sure. So go check it out and tell them that Eduardo sent you.. Check out my pics....
