I have been here many times and joy the experience of the rushing water and views. The souvenir shop is small and would like to see more items but the staff are friendly. All in all it is worth the stop to stretch your legs and take in the sites. The falls in the spring are really moving fast and are quit a sight.
A great place to see at any time. The shell canyon and falls are worth a little side trip over the gorgeous Big Horn Mountains. About 60 miles from Sheridan and watch for wildlife while traveling.
We stopped at Shell Falls on the way back to Sheridan from Cody. It is an oasis. The falls were thundering and we saw many hummingbirds. My kids found the interpretive/information center very useful. Great place to stop if you are looking to take break from driving up the canyon.
Loved this stop on Hwy 14! Nice, clean facility for a bathroom stop. Lovely, short, educational nature trail. Friendly docents in the store/visitor center. After being in the car all day traveling, we loved the fact that you could do as much walking and climbing stairs as you wanted...or didn't! Photo ops around every corner. Falls is spectacular!
We stopped here during our US trip - it was an amazing place and well worth stopping. Magnificent views and look out for the humming birds.
Fantastic side trip from Sheridan. Hwy 14 is a fantastic drive and the highlight is Shell Falls. Worth the effort ot get out and see some of the incredible beauty in the mountains.
Beautiful views, check out the hummingbird feeders and walk the short nature trail. Don't miss going down to the platform across from the falls.
Driving from Yellowstone to Cody on Rt. 14 we literally stumbled on this beauty. Spectacular rock formation and, of course the Falls. This was a gem. If you decide to hike some of the trails, you won't be disappointed.
Short east path with good fencing around. Easy access and safe for children. Good views if creek and waterfall. 15 min stop.
We traveled through the Big Horn Mountains along Route 14. Along the way we passed by Shell Canyon and Falls. Spectacular. Also, for anyone traveling to Yellowstone National Park, I recommend going from Sheridan, Rt. 14, to Cody, then to the Chief Joseph Highway to the northeast entrance to the park. The view from the summit of Dead Indian Pass is breathtaking!
Many levels of falls at this place. So pretty with the rock formations. Would definitely recommend stopping for a look.
What a nice little interpretive center. Very nice and informative. The falls where beautiful and the little walk was informative and easy to hike. Very nice place.
Beautiful. Worth the stop. Walk all the way down to the bottom. just beautiful!! Loved it. Glad we stopped
Good quick stop and lovely fall. Mountain pass can be intimidating if not use to that type of driving be sure to use your low gears going down.
Love this place! We try to make it here at least once a year when traveling in the Big Horn mountains. The falls are beautiful and calming. Very nice spot to relax and take in the views!
