I enjoyed learning about the peaches there. It was really fun to go out and select the peaches you want. It was also interesting to see how short the trees were cut to make it easier to harvest. Would love to come back and pick strawberries.

Since Fredericksberg is known for it's peaches, we decided to visit and pick our own this year. We stopped at Marburger Orchard early on Saturday, listened to instructions, selected the type of peach we wanted, grabbed our boxes and headed to the orchard. Very easy pickin's. We had both boxes filled with beautiful sweet peaches within 15 min. I was surprised. A golf cart comes around to carry your boxes back to the stand. We then got a bucket to pick blackberries - that was a little more intensive - most were not quite ripe - it took 45 min. to fill the bucket - beautiful as well - watch out for the thorns. They also sell fresh vegetables too - - fun for the whole family. Go early. Beautiful orchard - easy access.

one of the few pick your own peach places in texas...i usually buy the already picked ones... they had a better crop this year...last 2 years there werent any peaches..i beleave we got the harvester variety(HR) ...they were just barely cling...seeds pretty much fell out...best peaches ever...bought 1/2 bushell..

My mother, sister, and I visited Marburger Orchard in June to pick our own peaches and blackberries. It was a fun and educational experience that we will definitely try to do again! Listening to all of the instructions can be overwhelming, but it proved to be very helpful when you got out into the orchard. And you walk away with deeeliccious fruit. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

We had a great time at Marburger Orchard! Gary, the proprietor/farmer, is such a sweetheart. He explained how to pick the strawberries without damaging the plant and gave us a basket. Then Carlos, one of his hired hands, took us in a golf cart down to the strawberries and pointed us to an area that no one had picked yet! Very kind and helpful. In no time we had four pounds of beautiful strawberries - the best I've ever had, and only about $12! I highly recommend Marburger Orchard.

Always try to get up or down to this part of the hill country during peach season. We always pick up a truck full and take them back home for friends and neighbors. Mark this place on your must do list. Great folks!!
