Extremely clean, great food and lots of room. The sound made you feel you were in the movie. Getting in and out of the cinema was very easy also.

The only way to see a good movie! Food is fabulous and comfort of the seating makes this an incredible nite at the show!

What's not to love? You are escorted in, seated in your own recliner and your order is taken. Fancy food & cocktails too! If you get cold, ask for a blanket and put your feet up and enjoy a movie. So perfect.

I posted a more complete review in September 2010. Having returned in May 2011, I wanted to update a few things. I won't retread much here, so for more, look for the prior review.-----------------------------Since last year, Gold Class in Fairview has retooled its approach, and the changes are not necessarily for the better. Most notable, you can only order during the first 20 minutes of the film. With some movies lasting between 2 and 3 hours, this is a disappointment. If you want to enjoy a few drinks during the movie, you have to look like an idiot and order them at the 20 minute mark. I was told the reason is that people prefer not to be interrupted during the movie. Granted, but service during the film is the cornerstone of the theater, so that response did not make sense. On the plus side, ticket prices are lower. Last year it was $25 a seat, this year you pay between $15-$18 depending on the size of your seat. There are fewer fully extending lounge chairs, as most were replaced by smaller but still comfortable chairs to accommodate more customers.Food was mediocre and costly. I believe the quality of the food has gone down. Drinks are still rather costly, over $10 for a basic well drink. Fine if you are in a classy club where service and ambience are top notch, not so fine for a moderately refined theater.Service is still their achilles heel. Servers were generally lackluster and disinterested. They weren't bad, they just weren't very good, which is ashame given the anticipated environment. So, go to this theater if you want a really comfortable chair and don't mind paying high drink prices, otherwise, stick with Movie Tavern or the like.

This was our first time to visit Gold Class Cinema in Fairview, TX. Unfortunately, we decided to try it on our anniversary. The server was not at all helpful, even after we asked for an overview of how to order. We did not order alcoholic beverages, which left our server uninterested in taking care of us. She was rude and placed the wrong order. We ate what she brought, which was mediocre. I will say that the chairs were comfortable, but for a hundred dollar evening, probably not worth it. After the movie we were guided to the bar to pay our tab. The manager asked how everything was. When I said, "okay", he wanted to know why it was just "okay". After telling him he said, "Oh", and that was pretty much it. The servers were standing right there, which made the whole situation awkward.

My husband and I went for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. If you want to be pampered, have great cocktails and somewhat decent food, relax in a very comfortable recliner with a pillow and blanket, I highly recommend this venue. It does cost a little more than Studio Movie Grill, but it is really worth it. I was a little disappointed in the food. The pizza's were a bit greasy and the beinet's had no taste. The popcorn and the service were good. Overall we liked it and we are going back again next week.

For those unfamiliar, Gold Class Cinemas proposes to be a luxury movie experience with gourmet-quality food, excellent service, comfort and attentiveness. While there is a lot of promise and some good things about an evening here, it ultimately fell very short of promises and the resultant expectations.First, the good. Arrival was well handled. Six of us (3 couples) attended a showing last weekend, a 7p show for which we arrived about an hour early to enjoy the lounge. We were checked in at their desk, similar to a hotel front desk, escorted to seats in the lounge, and drink orders were taken. We were informed by our server to move to the theater about 10 minutes before the show, and our check followed us (vs. having to close out before the movie and again after), a nice touch. The theater itself is the highlight. Forty plush seats with nearly full recline, pillows and blankets at customer request, and a small but serviceable table in between each pair of seats made for an extraordinarily comfortable place to see a movie. Think home media room expanded to 40 seats and you get the idea. The only thing I would add is a drink/cup holder on each seat, to free up the limited real estate on the tables. This luxury is not free, of course. It is $26 a seat for tickets purchased online, but for the promise of an elegant evening, I thought this reasonable.Unfortunately, the overall experience was little like the promise of the website. First, the servers are all clearly undertrained for this establishment. I understand a few cobwebs and some rookie mistakes, but there were just too many to count. Not once - not a single time - did a server know who should receive which order, drink or food. Although they were pleasant enough, they were not particularly engaged or attentive. No one is looking for a conversational partner in their server, but a little friendliness would have gone a long way. They seemed to struggle to get orders right, despite the fact that the lounge was sparsely attended for 20-30 minutes after we arrived. They wanted us to keep our check together, despite the fact that we were three couples; separate checks should absolutely be an option.Apparently guests are supposed to order before entering the theater, which we didn't know and were not told. The luxury service did not include moving our cocktails to the theater. We were handed 6 menus and had to carry these, our drinks and a bottle of wine, with no help from the servers. At $8 a ticket, this is expected and understandable; at $26, it is not.Dinner service was a mess. My wife and I ordered the burger sampler, fries a salad and a chicken dish. After 15 minutes (the movie had started), they delivered my fries. And then...nothing. Almost a half hour passed, and I pressed the button to get a server to us. The website refers to its service as nearly instantaneous (watch the video); it took about 5-7 minutes to get a server. I asked them where the rest of our order was, ordered a bottle of wine, and handed the empty to the server so they knew what bottle we wanted. Ten minutes later, they brought my burgers, but nothing for my wife. I mentioned this, and about 8 minutes later they brought her dessert, but no main course. With no wine after another 15 minutes, I asked for the bottle, and they brought, opened and poured a red for us. We had ordered a chardonnay, and they had to replace it. I found out after the movie that my friend had ordered the red and never got it. At the end of the movie, I compared notes. Every couple had food and/or drink forgotton, delayed or both. Further, the food was not particularly appetizing. My burgers were underdressed and bone dry. The chicken my wife got - after the movie was over and we ordered in the lounge - was dry and tasteless. My friends, who are fairly easygoing, were similarly displeased with the food.Billed as a "gold class" experience, this was an overpriced movie with poor food, undependable service and an overall disappointing, overpriced experience. If you think $26 for a comfortable seat is worthwhile, please go. If you are expecting a luxury experience, look elsewhere.
