museum at colonial beach

So much has happened in Colonial Beach, from Captain John Smith's exploration of the area to the birth of two U.S. Presidents, the Oyster Wars and more. The Museum at Colonial Beach gives a great glimpse as to what life was like back then, and how the town got started. Although small, it is packed with pictures and artifacts of days gone by, like slot machines from the giant casinos on the boardwalk, and old hotel registers. The folks here are friendly and knowledgeable and this is a definite recommended stop when you visit the town.
