Vinny's Backyard is THE best sports bar in Fairfield County! The perfect place to catch the big game on any of the big screen TV's surrounding the large peninsula bar. The tables and booths surrounding the bar are great for small groups that don't want to sit at the bar, but want to view the game. The restaurant is perfect for families looking for great food and drinks suitable for all ages. The food is very consistent and always a crowd pleaser...I stick to the wings & thin crust pizza most of the time, but the ribs, burgers, sandwiches and salads are killer as well. All the bartenders are TOP NOTCH and are extremely accommodating in every way possible. The staff will remember your name, what you drink, and even turn the sound on for your favorite team's big game. Even on the busiest nights, the bartenders make sure your glass is never empty. Everyone from Beni (the GM) to Sean (the bar back) and even the guys in the kitchen will treat you like your part of the family! The other bars in the area are all dives with terrible service and mediocre food at best.

Not only are the wings & pizza great, but Caitlin's mixed drinks are unmatched by any other bartender in the area, and trust me, I've tried about 20 area bars.

Good local bar with great food and great service. Great place to watch football or any other sports on TV. Several large TVs that are viewable from any spot in the bar.Wings are probably the best in Stamford. Thin crust pizzas are great. While I usually order just the wings, I've also had the pasta Bolognese, steak salad and garlic bread with mozzarella which are also very good. Anyone who says the service isn't good is severely mistaken because Benny (the manager) always takes care of us whenever we come in and the bartenders are on point whenever my beer glass is empty. If you're there for a game, if possible they will make an effort to show it on a TV that is most viewable from where you're sitting.Having lived in Stamford for several years now, I can honestly say that this bar/restaurant is my 'go to' place for good food, good atmosphere and great service.

I have been to Vinny's Backyard many times and all of my visits are great! You can't go wrong with the Tuesday night rib special & I love the Oktoberfest menu, not to mention the pizza & wings! The staff of the restaurant is very attentive and helpful even in busy hours. I have eaten on both the bar & restaurant sides & always had friendly customer service. Overall, this is my favorite neighborhood bar!
