It is nice to stop at Miranda while in the area. Today we did a wine tasting with chocolates. WOW!!! the chocolates are delicious.

Mirandi is one of our families favorites. Great wines, both red and white. Friendly people and on Sundays they usually have music. In the warm weather grab a bottle and sit out on the deck and enjoy the view. Right down the road there is a great place that makes chocolate. Be sure to try Mirandi's dessert wine.

This winery was a nice building with a larger interior than most. After having a bad experience at sunset meadows, we came here with a chip on our shoulders. The staff was much more friendly and the wine was a little better, not all, but most. We will return with friends.

We stopped for a tasting and even though the bar area was full, they have a few barrels set up to the side, where we were able to taste. The server was very attentive and friendly, and also well informed. We were able to pick 6 wines for $7, if I remember correctly, off the list of 7-8 wines. Their white port was also available for an additional $1.50 tasting. We enjoyed the wines, there was a nice selection of reds and whites and drys to semi-dry. The port was probably the best of the bunch, as it was very well done and smooth, but the rest were decent as well. While none stood out enough for us to purchase, we would certainly go back and taste again, as they were nicely executed and presented.

I don't know enough about wine to be helpful about what is good and great. I'm sure there are other sites for to visit if that is what you want. However, i can tell you that Miranda Vineyard is a GREAT stop along the CT Vinyard Trail. On a busy Sunday our wait to get to the tasting was minimal. Beautiful tasting room, indoor seating area frequented by many, and they had a pleasant singer there with a guitar. GREAT ATMOSPHERE. Our guide was not the owner, but boy did she know the product. Told us what we would be tasting, and what would go well with each. She was very pleasant and the vineyard is lucky to have her there. Beautiful grounds, easy to find (although we like the challenge of finding some of the more hiddenplaces). We will return.

We visited the Miranda Vineyard for an event. It is a typical set up. Wine tasting is directly in front as you enter and seating is to the left and also outdoors. It is small and pleasant. The vineyard makes an inviting backdrop to the wine. The woman that oversees the operation is the wife of the owner/builder/vinter. She is engaging and informative. The problem is the wine. As with most Connecticut wineries, it is underwhelming. This might have been the worst of the lot. We tried the white and the red. Both were below in quality of what you would expect from a family owned place. The white was a a bit sour but drinkable if very cold. The red had a bitter finish that did not sit well. When visiting a Connecticut winery go for the experience. The wine, not so much.

The wines at MIranda Vineyard are delicious. The hosts treat you like you are the most welcome visitor they could have and they want you to be comfortable and enjoy your visit. Sunday afternoons there is live music to sit and enjoy with your wine. Buy a bottle of your favorite wine, bring snacks/picnic lunch and enjoy the afternoon. If you don't have snacks you can purchase yummy chocolates and cheeses. In nice weather the deck is inviting with a view of the vineyards and seating. Fireplace for cooler days makes it cozy. Plenty of seating and a very enjoyable experience.

I recently went to Miranda for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. To start, the location is perfect - beautiful place to enjoy a glass of wine! It is set back, off the main road, but not hard to find. They have a patio, seating inside as well as picnic tables outside (which is where I will be planting myself next time). My favorite wine was the rose, which I typically do not like. The reds and whites were also enjoyable - my other favorite being the merlot. The staff is what sealed the deal for me. Marilyn was super friendly and great to talk to. The owner, Maria, introduced herself and we spoke for a bit. She, too, was incredible. They both took time to chat with us and did not rush us. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this gem!

A quaint ct vineyard. Owner is winemaker and makes great handcrafted wines. Also makes Portuguese special wines like Vino Fino and a specialty dessert wine.

If you are touring the wineries in this part of CT Miranda is worth a visit. Some of the whites were very good. Not usually a red wine drinker but they were good.Try it - I think you will like it.

I really enjoyed 3 of the wines I tasted and my step-daughter bought a bottle of red. The ladies working there were very friendly and warm. The room itself was nothing to write home about however when it is warmer I think it would be a great place to relax out on the deck or the picnic tables outside. Also, they had this muffalleta spread that was amazing and I did leave with a bottle of that. We will return.

Place looks like a small house and the tasting area is small. When there are more than 6 people you are 2 deep and it's hard to hear and also difficult for the tasting part. Very small outside porch with about 3 tables. Inside area is large and has more seating. IN the winter there is a fireplace. It appeared that maybe there were looking to expand to 2 tasting areas which would be great. Wines are so, so. First winey that was all run by women, which is a nice thing to see. Would go back for the sole purpose of getting my passport stamped as it is very close to Sunset Meadows and would be foolish not to go for that other stamp.

My girlfriend and I recently visited Miranda vineyards for our anniversary which was a return visit due to a very enjoyable experience previously. Our return visit was even more enjoyable. We purchased a tasting and had the pleasure of Maria Miranda as our tasting guide. Maria's kindness was felt immediately as well as her passion for the wine her and her husband produce. We sampled several of the wines all of which were excellent. We especially enjoyed the woodbridge red. When we got to the reds we paired unique chocolates made exclusively for the winery based on Maria's recommendation which turned out to be a fantastic decision. After our tasting we had the pleasure of a lengthy conversation with Maria about how the vineyard started the ideas that went into the design. The overall decor of the winery and the quality of the wine are only 2nd to the people running it! I would highly recommend Miranda to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable experience.

Place looks very pretty inside, the outside didn't really suggest that you were at a winery. Help seemed frazzled the day we were there and when I came home discovered that the wine glasses I purchased were not in the bag or box with my other purchases.

This is a nice vineyard. The owner gave the 'talk' about the wines. However, her voice was very soft and she addressed the group asthough they were her former students. Two of the eight wines sampled were purchased. A suggestion would be to 'treat' yourguests to the small piece of 'decadent chocolate' you promoteto enjoy with the wine rather than asking them to 'fork over the $1.00. That seemed tacky to me. Guess the American wineries differ fromthose in Europe, especially Italy.
