We had a fine evening at the Blues Club. The the musical experience could not live up to our high expectations, especially after visiting both Nola and Memphis. We had dinner at club, modest and ok. The food iis absolutely ok, but not more. We had looked forward to the music, but felt it toi sloppy and un-engaged. A fun little intervention was nade by the co-owner, mayor of the little town. I felt it more as a political campaign than being a blues-messenger, but he was friendly and apparently a nice guy. But I did not his engagement appropriate. So my review will say Modest rather than Extraordinary

We came here for dinner before the band came on, service was great decor was fun, we had the catfish both fried and Cajun, cajun was best I though spicy and lots of flavour, we also had fries, coleslaw and deep fried okra. It was all quite nice! The band I thought were good but it was just a bit to loud for me! Overall lively place and fun for a night.

thought the drink prices were a bit high and served in a plastic cup-was not there fro live music though-go for the music not for drinks!

Great for kicking back and listening to some great blues bands and maybe a little dancing. A must do on everyone's list! Don't forget to order the fried tamales!

Wonderful venue - good food, great bar and wonderful music. We were lucky enough to catch Super Chikan and he was even better than the YouTubes. Great band with him. The whole place is covered with graffiti - never seen anything like it before - chairs, bar, walls, stage, tables, ceilings - everything. It sounds not so great but it looks amazing and it works - and it's really worth seeing.

A friend and myself flew over to Clarksdale MS just to go to Ground Zero. We had a great time and will go back soon. We had a great conversation with Bill one of the owners and the food was excellent. Serving sizes are very large so plan on sharing with someone. The dance floor was small but we still had a good time, as we both love to dance. If you are ever in the area this is a must, as well as the little shops .

My best friend and I recently embarked upon a road trip from Nashville to New Orleans. We stopped for a night on the way in Clarksdale, MS. We rolled into town on a Sunday afternoon and immediately began looking for someplace to watch the football game (Patriots vs Broncos!). To our dismay, everything downtown was closed. We were peering through the window of the Ground Zero Blues Club when a gentleman opened the door. He introduced himself as Bill Luckett, one of the owners of the club and the Mayor of Clarksdale. Even though they were closed, he invited us inside and found the game on TV for us. He even offered us each a free beer! Mr. Luckett showed us around the club and talked with us for a while about Clarksdale's musical history, growing tourism industry, and the club itself. The best part of the whole experience was when he allowed us to climb a ladder and sign our names on the wall (every inch of the place is covered in patrons' signatures).Mr. Luckett's kindness was the most surprising and treasured part of our trip. My only regret is that we had to leave the next morning and couldn't visit the Ground Zero when it was actually open. We would have loved to hear some of the fantastic music they're known for. My friend and I both work in the tourism/hospitality industry and now praise Clarksdale MS to everyone we talk to. It was a truly special experience in a town with real heart and we can't wait to return.

Stopped and had lunch while visiting Clarksdale's history and museums. Enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant and food was good.

I was advised to go through Clarksdale on our way to Nashville and whist it was a short stay it was great. Morgan Freeman jointly owns the Ground Zero club and it is one of a few blues clubs that kick up around 8.00 for dinner and 9.00 for some blues. The food is southern which means fatty, burgers a specialty and of course heaps of fries. I had a salad which was full of mayo so not for me who likes the healthy side but I didn't go for my health. We had a little baby with us so we left shortly after the music commenced and from what I heard of the band I loved it.

We did lunch. Drove down from Memphis just for lunch. It really is worth the trip. The burger topped with pork is a must. The fried pickles do not disappoint either. Do not come in here in a rush as they do take there time ... I do not mean that as a negative ... we wanted to sit and soak up the place. Fun to look around and very good burgers..Do need to come back for the evening music. Looks like it could be a hoot.

I stopped here when traveling around america after seeing the reviews online. It lived up to them, I had the pulled pork was lovely, And the waitress made me feel at home with some nice chit chat.

After visiting Red's Lounge the previous nite GZBC was a pleasure. Nice size room with professional sound system and clean rest rooms. Had a decent looking menu but we just picked on fried green tomatoes and potato skins. If you liked food fried in and dripping in peanut oil this is a good option. Good local beers on tap.

You can't go to Mississippi and not make it to Ground Zero. This has to be a must visit. I haven't had better trip south. One day on Beal street in Memphis the next day at Ground Zero. I got enough Blues to last til next spring.
