Didn't walk out a winner, but still had a good time! Nice casino with friendly staff. Would definitely visit again! Blackjack tables were full and fun!! I tend to stay away from the slots, but there were a variety of machines!Have fun!

Great food, great atmosphere, good wins. A little smoky and crowded but lots of fun. Seafood Buffet was pricy but well worth it.

This casino overwhelmed me, literally. It's soooo cool, inside and out. Wonderful staff, wonderful hotel, wonderful food, wonderful everything! I was like a kid in a candy shop on the casino floor. So many slot machines, and numerous oldie but goodies, too, which were so fun to play, and profitable. Spent six hours playing, left with a $1000 profit. Food is plentiful for the price, so don't order more that what you can eat...lol. Will definitely be stopping at the Argosy again on my next trip to Missouri. :)

Medium sized casino just north of Kansas City on bank of Missouri River. Good covered parking, nice hotel with big modern rooms attached to casino. Love those big showers with multiple spray heads. Good variety of games and slots in the casino. Good to average payouts according to gaming comission reports. Table games and lots of penny slots. Friendly staff. Free soft drinks. Big bar with giant screen TV, deli in the casino. Multiple resturants- love that Crazy Olive Cafe and Sports Bar, the steak house is also good, and they have the best buffet of any casino in town. Always crowded on weekends. My only complaint- why did they take the crazy olive salad off the menu in Crazy Olives Cafe? Do not miss a malt in Crazy Olives Cafe.

I like this casino because it has a good variety of slots and they also get new slots regularly. It's always clean and so are the bathrooms.

This is a great place to visit. I only take so much to 'waste'- if I win some, that's a plus. But, it's a 'break in routine'; a change of pace. People are happy, there. The people who work there, are all nice. There's no hollering or arguing - just people having a good time. It's like going to a 'new world' - good experience.

It was an average casino. Food better. Nice decorations for the casino. Staff were friendly. Slots were very tight and could not win a penny.

We are not big gamblers, but when we do play we like games that are fun and engaging. There isn't much to offer at the Argosy except the basic slot machines and a few card tables. The few more fun slot machines they do have were constantly full. There just wasn't enough.

On a whim my colleagues and I opted to dine and gamble here on a random Wednesday night during a week long business trip. Colleague number one blew 70 bucks on the slots, she was the only one of us with any real gambling desire or experience. Colleague number two was as ignorant as I and cautiously approached card games. The dealer was very kind and taught us how to play. Colleague #2 then found a 25 dollar chip on the floor and used it to begin a $200 winning streak before tipping well and cashing out. I played 21 and won back what I spent on the buffet and enough to tip. Non-smokers beware, folks smoke everywhere here.

We had some time to burn before traveling the following day, so we decided to take the free shuttle from our hotel to the Argosy. The worst part of the casino is what you smell when you walk through the door...smoke. I used to be a smoker and I cannot stand the smell. We did play some and the dealers were fun and helpful...they took all of our money but they made us feel good about it. I probably would not return to this casino in the future.

The Casino must be doing badly, they have closed the "fun" table games! No more 3 card poker! I walked through the slot machines, saw no winners, the atmosphere was very boring. This used to be my favorite KC casino, I don't think I'll be returning any time soon. Drinks are expensive, you can't take drinks from the Restaurant bar into the Casino. The casino waitresses are few and far between.

stayed at holtel for 2 days. Went into casino. Dealers very freindly and helpful. Minimums good. Slot machine selection not in line with what I like, but is in line with current trends.

I played the slots for 2 days and barely won over $40. The selection of slot machines isn't very good either.

Look this isnt Vegas, but I have been to every casino here. This is the friendliest. The restaurants are good. The buffet is alright, Harrahs is actually better for that. Argosy has very nice hotel rooms, with beautiful bathrooms and soft beds. They remodeled sometime ago but it still looks great. I like it here, I would come here over ameristar any day. Harrahs casino coming in a close second to argosy for kansas city ....and the other casinos in town arent worth mentioning.

The casino was clean and roomy. Although I didnt score to big, my friend did. I saw many people cashing in pretty good. The dealers were goo, aswas the waitresses. Although the drinks were high priced.
