forgotten grapes

This wine tasting room is out of the way in a strip mall, but it's worth looking for! The 6 wine tastings change each week on Thursday, so it's always new. The owner brings wine in from many wine regions all over the world. Besides really liking 5 out of the 6 wines I tasted, the staff is so informative! More than any other winery that sells their own grapes that I've been to. That is even more impressive considering that the wines change each week!

I think there are... 7 seats for wine tasters, but Chris made us feel at ease and at home. His enthusiasm for wine is immediately apparent. He knows his stuff - in this case - grapes and wine. This is an unusual place for a wine tasting room - across the parking lot from the former "Mario's Place" location, next to the "best" Thai food in Riverside, it's a bit out of the way - but worth the trek if you're in Riverside. On Wednesdays the "tastings" are 5 bucks for 6 - 2 oz tastes... How can you go wrong?Chris specializes in the "forgotten" grapes - different varietals - small wineries - off the beaten track and off the charts - off the wall - off the hook. Good stuff.
