Had planned to golf here since late 2013 and was glad to find the opportunity in late September. Must admit the staff was very friendly and accommodating and our golf round, although it ended in the rain was one we will remember. Glad we decided to do this. TheGrill was also a pleasant surprise. The perch was excellent!!

enjoyed playing the Cutter's Ridge layout. There is another 18 hole course here called Canthook valley that we didn't have a chance to play.the course was in great shape. The greens firm and quick with a bit of slope, not severe. The tee boxes were all great, and the fairways full and the ball sat up nicely. The fairways weren't overly narrow but not hugely wide either. The rough is medium thick, but off the rough is penal- no way to find much less play anything more than 10 yards outside the rough. The holes are all cut out of the woods. very little water hazard. The wind seemed to swirl a lot through the trees. All in all a great test of golf on a very well kept golf course. Would love to play again. The staff was very friendly but should have alerted us to the fact that there were maps of the holes available in the clubhouse. We had no idea on some holes where the smart place to play was or yardages. If you play there, make sure you get a map.

Played golf with family! Beautiful course and had fun! We had stayed here in 2013 for my sons wedding but was unable to play golf that weekend so we came back this year to play. Loved it!

This was the third year in a row I have met friends in Michigan for a summer golf trip. Have played Manistee National each of the 3 years. Great place to play, staff is friendly. We will be playing there again next year.

We just left Manistee National on Tuesday and it was very sad to leave. We played 3 rounds over 4 days and the courses are amazing. Love the challenge of Cutters Ridge. Doug Bell set everything up for the 8 of us and we couldn't be happier. The food at the Grille was as good as the golfing, the breakfast brunch was one of the best we have had. We will definitely be going back and hopefully with more golfers. I would recommend Manistee National to anyone. I just can't say enough good things about our experience there. It is very laid back, the outdoor pool/hot tub area is new and is very nice. The bonfire area was a nice surprise. We had such a great time.

My wife and I played nine on Friday afternoon. The only thing that was a little disappointing is that there was no water until the seventh hole. Plus the drink cart did not show up until we were finishing the seventh hole and she had almost nothing on the cart.

group of 7 recently played here, and I had to drop out on course across street for last day, as too much carry on some tee boxes. Greens and fairways in excellent condition; just not the place for average golfer across street. Course by clubhouse more manageable for an old dude like me with bad back. Inn on premises, but was full, and group had to stay at nearby Indian casino.Would be nice to see course with fall colors. Finishing hole across street pretty memorable, with steep hillside on left, and boardwalk on right. One in group played boardwalk golf on his shot, and it ended up just short of green.

We golfed here as part of my "Mystery Trip" weekend and it was beautiful. The course was in great shape. The greens are difficult (because they are rolling) but it was very enjoyable. We will definitely play here again if we are in the area. Fair course for women and not tremendously long. This was one of our favorite Up North courses.

What a great day. This resort has two courses and I had the pleasure of playing them back to back. Cutters ridge is where I started and it is a dream. Every hole suited my eye, if you play you will know what I'm talking about. Watch your aim points on every tee and you will score, don't and you will re-tee. The course is in fantastic shape. The greens are about as close to tv as you will find on a public course. They also have a very nice driving range and chipping green to warm up, and you should. I should say that I played great on Cutters ridge. I finished up my first round and went to the pro shop and spoke with the pro about playing the Canthooke course. Super nice guy, he set me right up and off I went. This course is older and appears to be much more open off the tee. Wrong. If you miss the fairway it will cost you. From the tips the par 4's are as tough as you will play. The greens are in great shape just a bit slower than Cutters. I found this one a bit harder because it let your mind wander on the tee. Make sure you bring your camera as there are some great pic's to take. Enjoy I will try to post some pic's later.

I wrote an earlier review of the Osprey Grille, which is a part of MNGR. I can't speak to the gold aspect of MNGR, but the Osprey Grille (focused on those who prepare the food) is terrific. The golfing looks for very much worth the money, if you are a golfer.

We played the Manistee National courses as part of a 2-day golf outing of friends. The first day was spend on Canthooke and everyone like the views and enjoyed the variety of holes. The undulating greens tested our skills but everyone seemed to enjoy these courses - men and women alike. The second day we played Cutter's Ridge. I have never seen a course that gave women such a break when it came to the tee boxes. But, we really needed the preferential treatment as this course seems to be a real test for the average ladies golfer.

We bought a golf/hotel package for one night. Except for the fact that the front desk girl could not give directions to the hotel. it was great. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The views were good. Breakfast was minimal but there was hot drinks all night. On the morning of our golf game, it was rainy and cold. We decided we couldn't golf a third day in cold rain so asked for a refund on the golf. The staff was understanding and completely refunded the golf. We would recommend this resort to our friends.

Friendly staff. Nice course. I took two friends from louisana there. Enjoyable day. The grounds were very nice and were able to get in a round of golf very quickly.

Four of us played and we all enjoyed it. The course was in good shape. Looks like a nice place to stay.
