It was -7 degrees, walking to the casino was COLD....other than a DJ, there was no nightlife....and the gaming was just OK.
Nice place to go and play if you're bored in Erie. Smoking allowed, but they have above average air quality so you hardly notice. At least 4 bars & very friendly staff. Slots are a little tight but if you join the players club, you'll get some free play credit. Easy parking and well lit parking lots.
Nice little casino a good selection of machines nice restaurants the live racing is good to overall a good night out
Ever been to Seneca casino in Niagara smokers heaven, go here as a non smoker u will be amazed like it's all non smoking !!!! Fans are awesome...good place great times
Always a fun time. People pleasant. Lots of machines, good variety. Food was excellent and good variety to pick from. Found early evening is very busy especially on race nights.
My husband and I came here for a Valentines getaway. We stayed across the street at the Baymont Inn which was nice. We had fun at the casino as they have a ton of penny slots which we like. We didn't win big but didn't spend more than $20 for 7 hrs of gambling with a dinner break. Of course everybody's luck goes up and down depending on the day! We ate at the buffet & it was nothing to jump up & down about. The food was blah an they kept running out of items. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other instead of paying attention to their patrons. I guess we have been spoiled by other casino buffets.
We were able to get on the Wheel of Fortune machine. They only had 4 machines. 2 machines took .75 cents and the other 2 were more money to play. It would be nice if they had more machines like that. I would like to play the Penny or nickle machines once in a while, but they are very deceiving. If you play all lines, sometimes it is more than $2 ea time. How about some machines that don't require that much $ ea time. You won't win as much, but you would stay longer, and probably spend more.
Nice place to watch the horse races. The casino is nice. The buffets are good as well. Occasionally they have nice shows.
It's a casino, there all the same. They have great food. Nice drinks and nice shows. There's alot to do here.
Having played here many times since they first opened, the experience lately has diminished. The few machines I enjoy are usually taken. Understandable but, from a player's POV, why are there not more of them? The gripe I have is why management keeps the ones that are never played without replacing them with more of the popular ones? Poor management. One small bank was moved from smoking area to no smoking area way in back and are less used now. That was a stupid move in my eyes. Slot service also is lousy as they don't look for service lights. They seem to be more interested in conversing among themselves rather than looking for problems. Parking is good most days and valet used to be great. Last few times it was very slow. Restaurants are not that great. Buffet is nothing to rave about and steak house used to be good until last trip. Meat seems to have been downgraded since they changed the menu. Having gambled in Vegas, AC, Tahoe, etc., cocktails should be complimentary. Even in Salamanca and Niag. Falls they are, but not here. Not even reasonably priced. Oh well, no wonder attendance has visibly declined since inception. They lack on many issues. Comp guidelines have waned since days of yore here also. Promotions are not noteworthy, never really were. I really can't recommend this venue. My advice is to try Seneca in Salamanca. Great restaurants, looser slots, capable dealers, free cocktails, far better comp guidelines, etc. This place just doesn't measure up to them. Never did and has only worsened.
We visited the casino on Saturday, Jan. 24th. It has been many many years since we've been here, and we were surprised at how much it has changed, all for the better. There were many more slots to choose from, there are now table games, and there is a poker room. The beers were very reasonable, and the service while you were at your machines was quick. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful, with the exception of one employee. There was a promotion going on on Saturday called p.i.dinko. I realized i was eligible for an entry so i asked the gentleman in the suit who was escorting people up the stairway to the board how I obtain an entry. He couldn't have been more ruder, and indicated that I would have to find a kiosk. Since i've not been here in many years I asked where I would find one, and he had the audacity to snap at me to look for a machine with a big "K" on top of it. Everyone in line was mortified that someone who was simply looking for some guidance was treated that way. Even the workers sitting at the table look embarrassed. Is this really an impression you want to leave someone with? And being that he was in a suit one would assume he was higher up the management chain, which makes it even worse. In spite of this I would recommend this casino if you are in the area.
After a few years of Driving to Seneca Niagara for a 2 night get-a-way, and the Casino becoming less consumer friendly (our opinion). I was convinced on our way back from Seneca Niagara to try Presque Isle. What a pleasure from the moment we walked in to the time we left everyone was pleasant and accommodating. I only wish we would have saved our Gas, and Toll Money and stopped there to begin with. Their Buffet out shines Seneca Niagara's. The Dinning Room has windows you can actually see outdoors. The Staff well Seneca Niagara needs to send their staff there to train in customer service. Thank You Presque Isle I would have given them 5 Stars had they had a on-site Hotel.
At Presque Isle casino when entering, go to the door by the racetrack, to the non-smoking area and avoid being hit by the smoke! My husband and I are both smokers and that is one of the main reasons we have no desire to go to any of the casinos in Ohio, although we live in Ohio.We go out to enjoy ourselves and we both love going to Presque Isles. The atmosphere is great. The people are very friendly and the buffet restaurant, which overlooks the racetrack ,has a large selection of food which is excellent compared to some casino buffets. So, go out and have a fun night out at the Presque Isles casino!!!! .
Great place to have a day trip or overnight trip. Every time I walk in I'm greeted by security. They just remodeled the place so when you hear that it's dirty it's not true at all. I'm not the biggest fan of the snack bar but it will do for a quick bite to eat late at night. The slots for the most part are loose. They will let you play for quite some time on 100 bucks. The buffet is great for the price and have seafood and champagne brunch buffets on the weekend. The tables tend to be packed but what casino are they not packed at. In the summer the racing is wonderful and a real treat to watch and bet on the ponies. Presque Isle gives out great comps when you play such as generous free play and match play as well as food comps and valet parking. I really do recommend this place they will treat you right and will have fun while playing and that's what it's all about.
Smokers in non-smoking area and unable to get to the non-smoking section without going thru the smoking section. The buffet needs a better selection of main courses and had a very poor selection of deserts. Having a hotel within the casino would be most welcome.
