this is a large park with a rubber matting covering the entire floor area of the playground. This is right near a river and there are numerous courses to try. There are grills for making food and a disc golf course as well as multiple pavilions. A baseball diamond is within view of the park as well. This is a really well laid out area.

I took my nephews (3 and 6 years old) here to burn off some steam while visiting Stevens Point. The park is in a beautiful location along the river ideal for picnicking or walks. There were a number of athletic fields, bathrooms, bbqs, and playgrounds. Their large main playground (KASH) is gorgeous. It is huge with plenty for kids of all ages - swings, climbing, slides, sandbox. It is bright, colorful, and has a wonderful soft squishy ground. It is also accessible for kids of all ability levels, ie can accommodate kids with special needs. This is a great place for a family to spend an afternoon unwinding.

KASH Park is the best place to play with grandkids. Climbers, swings, sand, bathrooms and grassy areas make this a great playground.

My husband and I visit this park almost every day during the week to go disc golfing. The only thing about this course is that it's really easy, but that's good for people like me who aren't very good. While there are a number of trees on the course, there aren't really any in the way of the holes. If you're up for a challenge, you should go to Yulga Park, which has 18 holes compared to the 9 at Mead Park, and it has A LOT more obstacles.Aside from the disc golf course, Mead Park has a LOT more to offer. They have tennis courts, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, a baseball field, and a HUGE playground. Actually, they have a few playgrounds, but this is definitely a place you want to bring kids to because there's a lot to play on. They even have a "Learning Path". I'm not sure what it is, but it's something for kids. They also have pavilions, shaded areas, and free barbeques, so it's great for a picnic. I also love that they have a sandy beach on the Wisconsin River. It isn't a large beach at all, but it is nice to take a dip in. You can also find people fishing at Mead Park, as it's right on the water, but Pffifner Park is better for fishing. They have bathroom facilities and drinking fountains, so it's the ideal place to bring the family if you want to play ball or picnic.
