Stop in on a Friday, take a tour, and then hang out in the bar room. There are always warm and friendly people about, and sometimes you will be treated to free live music and food. It is always a good time, and pints are only $3.
Had stopped in and had a couple of their local brews, loved the cranberry ale, had band that night and just a relaxing place to enjoy a mirco brew!!
One of our bridesmaids and her boyfriend came up from Chicago the Thursday before our wedding. Last time I had been to the brewery I was a teenager in high school and was too young to go into the tap room. Our friends are sort of like beer enthusiasts and like trying out new beers so we decided to take them to the brewery. We thought the tours started at 3pm like the website said, but they weren't starting until 4pm. Didn't really matter because we immediately spotted the Donkey Kong machine outside the tap room and started playing it like the hardcore gamers we are. We finally went into the tap room to sample the beers. We didn't try the full samples like some other people were doing (the bartender just poured a tiny bit into a glass for us to try). My husband and I aren't drinkers at all and don't have a taste for most alcohols so we couldn't really appreciate the samples (except for the lemon-pomegranate flavored hard lemonade...I loved that). We just had the Shock Top Root Beer (which they also brew). Our friends seemed to enjoy the selection and were having fun trying out all the different beers they had on tap. We went on the tour at around four where we got to learn a bit of the interesting history behind the brewery itself as well as the process of making beer. Afterwards it was more Donkey Kong and eating free popcorn. We had a great time!
We had a lot of fun at the tasting room. It was a super hot day and we were looking for something to do in CF, WI. Finally found the brewery and enjoyed learning about their brewery business and the CF area in general. The brewery is professional and takes pride in their product. Check before hand to make sure they are open as they are a family oriented company and not a bar. They are not open during the usual bar hours, but rather, typical business hours.
A cool vintage building with great old-fashioned bar and a huge selection of terrific, painstakingly crafted beers. Order the flight and you'll get 9 really generous samples for just $5. A great reward after a day of hiking, biking and canoeing the beautiful Black River.
Went there and sampled their IPA. Ended up buying a sixer. All the popcorn you can stomach while there. Didn't do the tour but the tap room was bustling. Quick service, convenient location.
The tour and the friendliest of the staff were great along with the samples provided and the ability to purchase the product to take home.
This place is a hidden gem in a small town. Any given stop you'll find people that love what they do, an interesting experience in the tours, and of course excellent beer! LOVE the hard lemonade myself :)
Thier Hard Lemonade is wonderful. They also have a great cranberry beer that I can not remember the name of.
Great place in a historic building. One of the owners (Todd) made recommendations on beer. They could use more stuff to buy, instead of just shirts/mugs. Maybe some bottle openers or bottle coolers. Overall, well worth the stop.
