baraboo bluffs

just good curvy roads going up and down bluffs-no traffic-just right for a motorcycle ride. there are no amenities but baraboo is a great town to eat (or shop) in...'thought we were in prescott arizona while riding downtown.

The Baraboo Bluffs give a beautiful display of colors every fall. and there are many areas where you can visit and hike to enjoy the changing colors. It is a great way to spend a day outdoors with the family or friends before the cold Wisconsin winter sets in!

There are lots of back roads winding through the bluffs. The scenery is great. We did not encounter much of any traffic so we were able to drive slowly and enjoy the scenery.

The bluffs are especially beautiful in the fall. Baraboo (city in the heart of the bluffs) offers much to do and see. Original home of the Ringling Circus, the working circus museum is a fun place for families. Great shops around the square. Outside town is Ho Chunk casino and 7 miles away is the famous Wisconsin Dells

When you visit Baraboo, you have to check out the surrounding scenery and views. There is nothing better in Wisconsin than the beuatiful views of the bluffs and the surrounding countryside near Baraboo. They are stunning at any time, but my favorite is in the Fall when the leaves are turning colors. Again, Stunning!

Just wonderful to drive around on the back roads and view from different perspectives.

Growing up in the area has provided numerous opportunities to visit and revisit the country roads in all seasons, over the past 60 years.

I've lived in the dells baraboo area for most of my life and have never been to or have seen an area like the bluffs in baraboo. I remember coming home from college and seeing the bluffs and getting a smile on my face. They are beautiful. Also you can't beat the price of free to see them or drive through them. Devils lake state park is also an awesome way to enjoy them.

Fall colors, spring flowers or summer views, the Baraboo Bluffs are a great place to drive through. Winter is a bit dangerous with the steep hills and curves. The rock formations are fantastic and the rolling farmed fields take your mind to times past. Seeing an occasional 100 plus year old log cabin and traditional red barns just put this drive in a class of it's own. The bluffs run from Merrimac through Baraboo to Leland, Wisconsin.
