We arrived so our grandson could talk to the elves. It was a little bit much for a 4 year old but was really cool we will be back

A cute place to get some snacks. I was glad that it was open on our short time in Santa Claus, IN. Thanks for the yummy treats.

This was such a neat place. We actually came here 2 times because of the Frozen Hot Chocolates (A MUST TRY). Kids can talk to elves on the portable north pole network and get a certificate that shows they are on the good list. they do chestnuts roasting on an open fire every Saturday in Dec. at 6pm. They have a great assortment of stocking stuffers, vintage candies, Christmas books and ornaments. It is a must stop if you are traveling to or thru Santa Claus, IN. Wish it was closer as I would go and get a Frozen Hot chocolate everyday!! See you next year :)

This is the second time I've been and still love it. It's not a big place but it has a great selection of candy/gift candy, chocolate, flavored popcorn, gifts and stocking stuffers. And if that's not enough the kids can talk to one of santos elves and get a certificate stating they're on the good list or drink an "Avalanche" of hot chocolate or at night roast chestnuts on an open fire. Also picture ops everywhere.

We thought this would be just a candy store. We were very surprised it was a little bit more.there was a book room with nostalgic books along with the small jelly belly room and then of course there were throwback candies that you cannot find at you're local candy store.The prices on the souvenirs are also very reasonable.

Got here an hour before closing Sunday.Were only people in the store. Not as close to main drag as other Christmas-related store in Santa Claus. Also a gravel parking lot. Did like the wood carvings, fire pit and Christmas cornhole game, though.Outside of the Santa Hall of Fame and the kids/childrens room, not overly impressed. Wife and I both thought our candy store in the local mall had just as big as an overall selection, while we also thought Cracker Barrel was pretty close in its old-time offererings.Did have a sleigh and a Santa you could pose with, though.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I should have realized it would be so commercial. There was so little history in the Candy Castle I was dissapointed. I knew it was going to be a store catering to kids' sweet tooth, but I expected more of it. It was small, and the vintage candy wasn't really vintage. I've been in better candy stores in more out of the way places.

Myself, my mom, my daughter, and 2 nieces all went today on our way out of town. We all loved it! Lots of photo opportunities, of course the kids loved the candy. They were having an awesome sale on Christmas Story merchandise, and Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, so I scored some of that, all the kids got to pick 5 items each from the stocker stuffing wall (took them forever, because they kept changing their minds), and we got some fudge. We will definitely come back anytime we are in Santa Claus.

We like this place a lot! It's kinda small and not as much as you'd think but the popcorn and hot chocolate is great and the staff is out of this world friendly! Don't expect a big high priced uptown candy shop because this isn't that. Expect nice friendly faces and some good candy along with a very cute building. We go every trip to santa clause and will continue to do so.

Be sure to stop in for a Frozen Hot Chocolate after a long day at Holiday World! We really enjoyed it. They also offer homemade fudges and candies, along with a ton of other candy selections. Children will enjoy Santa's Candy Castle.

The focus in July is on their homemade fudge, frozen hot chocolate, and candies from the past. Don't expect Christmas candy this time of year. I'll admit I was expecting it and was a little disappointed there was none. After all, we were celebrating Christmas in July! The selection of old time candy was pretty big, though, and I was reminded of my youth more than once. I even bought some items that weren't good for me back then and aren't any better for me now. So this place is worth a visit just for that.

We stopped by the castle on May, so it wasn't exactly the height of the x-mas season. It was still fun. They have homemade fudge and candy. They also have a number of novelty items for sale (my favorite was the Christmas Story section). It was fun to drink hot cocoa and walk around. They have about two dozen types of hot chocolate. My son really enjoyed our visit.

Santa's Candy Castle is in my opinion is by far the greatest place. We love going there. Living only 30 minutes away helps also. If we have out of town guests & the castle is open, we take them down. You MUST go on a sat-nite in dec for the chestnut roast. It's done over an open fire like in the old days. You learn the history of chestnut roast in america. If you wanna go some place fun May-Dec go to Santa's Candy Castle!!!!

First off, if you are expecting some massive castle full of candy - don't bother. This place is more of a castle in the backyard. It's absolutely adorable and is a lot of fun! You walk in and see a some regular branded candy such as jelly belly beans, pez candies, and so forth. Then you will see holiday hats and ears, shirts, and ornaments. There is other Christmas type of things, such as A Christmas Story items, Nightmare before Christmas items, Elf on a Shelf, and so forth. There are tables to sit at and enjoy some great treats and drinks they have to purchase. There is also books and stations for the kids to play at. Overall, it's a great little place to visit! The experience is what you make of it and the people are wonderful there! We will be going back (with the kids this time lol) --- Oh and don't forget to try the caramel corn! Best ever!!!!! We were lucky enough to watch them finish it and get some while it was really fresh!!

We are very sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations.Although the historic castle isn't a huge all-day attraction, we do truly strive to make each and every guest's visit an enjoyable one.The castle is a quaint (ie, not huge) Depression-era attraction that was recently restored, so we are certainly not the world's largest candy shop. However, we do offer a variety of candy and confections that goes beyond what was described in your review. Reading your review, it appears that you visited on a busy weekend, so perhaps you did not see all of the candy and confections that we offer. It is true that we have some items that you might find in a local grocery store (candy bars, pixy stix, push pops, sour straws, rock candy, wax bottles, etc., etc.). However, at the time of your visit we also offered 50 different varieties of handmade confections (things like divinity, peppermint bark, a variety of turtles, fudges, creams, brittles, barks, mousses, bonbons, etc., etc.). We also offered 20 different varieties of salt water taffy (unique flavors like candy cane, egg nog, and huckleberry in addition to more traditional flavors like vanilla or black licorice). We also offered over a dozen different flavors of gourmet and candied popcorn flavors (flavors like banana, blue raspberry, and green apple, in addition to classics like caramel corn, kettle corn, and cheddar cheese popcorn). We also offered 30 flavors of gourmet hot chocolate (both cocoa and white chocolate as well as low-sugar options). We also offered our frozen hot chocolate, our signature dessert which has won numerous awards and recognitions. We also offered a full wall of Jelly Belly products (both jelly beans as well as a variety of novelty candy that Jelly Belly makes). We also offered a full wall of PEZ products (we regularly stock every dispenser, candy refill, and specialty gift set that PEZ produces with the exception of some of the sports teams). We also offered other various candy items throughout the shop such as our giant Lollipop Tree. Again, we aren't the world's largest candy shop (and we do not aspire to be), but we do offer quite a bit more than a grocery store.We apologize that our offerings were somehow overlooked, and would very much like to welcome you back to the castle to experience all that we have to offer in the way of candy/confections as well as our other products, activities and events that have made us a fun and unique stop for visitors while in Southern Indiana.
