"Museum" might not be the right word for the place, but anyone who loves all things comic and hero related should spend an hour and revel in the geekery. Between the signed (by everyone) screen-used Captain America shield, the screen-worn Batman (Adam West) and Greatest American Hero suits, the incredibly rare comics, the incredible number of comics, and the incredibly vast and varied amount of toys, figurines, and collectibles, this was the perfect place for the boyfriend and I to kill an hour or two and be geeky together. The only thing that could make it more perfect would be if it also had Star Wars, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings sections, but maybe that's just the cross-genre geek in me.
To call this a museum would be an overstatement. More like a glorified toy collection. There is a batman costume that Adam west wore but I say save your 6$ and your ten mins and do something else!
Make sure you check the hours on their Facebook or website before showing up, since they are sometimes open only by appointment. This was a fun museum with a surprisingly large collection. We particularly enjoyed the "Batcave" exhibit with the Adam West costume and other 60's era Bat items.
I took the kids. To see the original Captain American shield. So cool. And they have a lot to look at. Take your time looking. The original Batman costume from Adam West was over the top. This is the only museum like this! So grab your kids head on over! You won't be disappointed. Your friendly neighborhood super trucker!
Small, but family owned and so cool. I know the family and I know how much work they've put into the museum. Seriously, the coolest collection you will find in this area. I would say to call before going though because like I said, it's family run, so they have to make sure someone is there to give a tour.
